I like the red 2.8 against the black VR6, perhaps follow the same idea with the HT leads? Think yoy should darken the inlet manifold as well, maybe not black but a metal grey or something? Looks sweeet anyway

That kit loos alright, I would just change the turbo, and maybe the controller and BOV, oh and you would need a head spacer!

As for electronics, they work better in colder environments, but I think your MAF will get buggerd if you start blasting freezing air over it..

The tank is the same, but regards the pump, change it to a VR as a matter of course becuase Im 99% sure their different, it might be able to power it on idle but not when giving it the beans!

Have you got a video of it misfiring? that will help us, have you ran it through VAG-COM? that would be best start to point you in the right direction matey.. -

thanks for the reply don, thise where my thoughts, although if it was an oil way it would be all the way across as well? there arent any markings on the shaft, looks fine.. very strange!

Hi guys, just changing my big end caps, and on cap number 7, the far right one, holding the very end of the cam shaft down. There is a big deep gash cut into the cap about 3mm deep. It looks like such a clean cut it could have been machined out, but none of the others have? See the pic for further info, any ideas? meant to be there or has dirt got in there previously? cheers, dave
