i know mate when i looked at. my old gearbox i couldnt really work out how it worked. on the side of the gearbox youll see the pivot arm for the clutch? that pushes the rod through all of the gears to th clutch plate. here it acts just the same as a release bearing on a VR. doubtful it will be that mechanism though, check the cable and the end mechanism, this can be a pain sometimes

Thats the exhaust mate, best off asking the car owner what spec he has, as there are loads of different types of noises you can get from a VR, sadly mine only makes a bang noise

To be honest I've only just looked into the route.. looks like il be going through grantham though stamford and kettering to billing, using the A1 and the A43, you going anywhhere similar? what sort of time where you thinking of getting there for?

Sorry for the thread hijack here, but the 3.6 will give you the bes acceleration wouldnt it? although possibly bringing the top speed down lightly. Am i right in thinking this? Thanks.
