    Hi mate, vr's can be a pain to work on, but if your fairly decent with a spanner and read the how to's on here its straight forward. As for halfords, youd have to check your spark rating (cant remember what they are on a vr) and check. For soark plug removal, you need a ht lead removal tool, usually found clipped to the bonnet lifter arm thing, if not look on fleabay. DO NOT try and pull out ht leads with you hands you will break the corea inside. Oh and a deep reach socket for the plugs hope that helps, dave

    Mine is exactly the same!! I have seen a heap load of yellow gunk looking stuff if I look down from the battery side down on what looks like a mount. Sounds like a battery leaked onto your gearbox mount eroding the rubber mount.

    Yeh, its a common complaint, the key barrels wear down and break, and noone really suspects it either.
