  1. It's going to be one of those 'easier said than done' jobs isn't it lol. Are there any uk suppliers of these?
  2. Think I'll be investing, as I need to raise the engine but I am not denting a chassis leg. plus they are quite shiny, how hard was the old one to get off?
  3. This is what I have also read, however I have also read that the vr6 is internally balanced so this why I started this thread. I think tony ran these on his car both N/A and F/I.
  4. Anyone got any feedback on these, looking into getting a crank pulley so I can then raise the engine and beef up the sump. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=160739807949&cmd=VIDESC&index=11&nav=SEARCH&nid=66071757783
  5. make sure you say hello Oh I will try if I can find any of you lol, will there be stickers etc ? As I could do with a couple
  6. I will be going So put me down
  7. I shall show my face and try and put done faces to names. And see the cars in flesh

    sump guards

Yes I am on Facebook £250 from vw :/ I don't really want to break the £200 mark as you can get omp guards off of demon tweaks.
  9. are mason-tech still going? or does anyone know where i can get one? as in the near future i will be getting one as it scrapes everywhere
  10. haha yh watch your sump mate im on my second and had to raise the car a bit more keep it up mate
  11. how far does your sump sit under your subframe? but looks like your making good progress, will it be at UD :/ lol
  12. I have no idea, I think it was the rain. As I had the bonnet open whilst putting the new sump on. So I'm going with it shorted it out and made it shoot past it's stopper. :/
  13. Yh was meant to be closed. Nudged it with a screw driver and it pinged back into place. Put it all back together and it works thanks for your help
  14. I have the isv off and cleaned out. Now the flap inside it is it meant to be closed and then opens with live feed or is it always open and then closes with live feed? As mines open completely. I have just degunked the tb as well. As for air leaks the head has been rebuilt when I got the engine so new gasket there. And I have replaced all the inlet ones. It's just strange how it was running fine then I cracked the sump so I changed the sump replaced oil and now it idles high. It's not hunting either. Just stuck solid at 2-3k.
  15. It's not that then, I'm trying to solve why it's idling at 2k well started it up again and it's now at 3k :/
  16. What on earth is the diaphragm looking thing on the side of the throttle body? It's not plugged in to anything and it appears it does nothing to me.
  17. Looks like I'm going to clean the maf and check the wiring. I just want it to work now
  18. Washed it with brake and clutch cleaner then waited till it was dry, but it's just a solid idle at 2k no hunting or misfiring. So when it stops raining I think I'm going to check all wiring and all hoses for vacuum leaks.
  19. Right, I cracked the sump so jacked car up etc and whilst I was there jacked the engine up to add a spacer on the rear mount to give me more sump clearance. But then I noticed the exhaust was wedged against the tunnel. So took the spacers out and lowered the car back down filled with oil. Before I started it I took the intake tube off and gave it a clean and polished the filter tube up. Put I back together and started the car. Now it idles at 2-2.5k and jerks left right and centre. Now the bonnet was open when it started to rain but not a lot of rain actually got in anywhere. There's no smell
  20. Good work pal, no conversions is without its problems but let me know how you get on with the maf wiring as mines started to idle around 2k and is as jerky as anything. I have noticed that one wire has started to melt off of the exhaust. Which could be my issue.
  21. http://mk2vr6.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7831 the links are in there
  22. If you go to mk2vr6 and go to conversion help, then click on how to wire your vr6 mk2. There's links within that thread that have wire colours pin outs etc pretty much everything I would find the link but I'm at college at the mintute. If I find it I'll post it up.
  23. Black is the new brown I think :s could be wrong on that tho.
