  1. Is your suspension coilover or normal thinner shocks? I have coilovers which makes their diameter a fair bit more, with ET43 17x7.5 and 205 tyres. When my FPR went and I had to get recovered the seatbelt material wheel straps could barely get between the wheel and the shock. This is my only experience with different offset on this car, but I can tell you that i wouldnt be able to get them on, they would foul.
  2. Lukey.

    Car covers?

I got the halfords professional one too. For the money it's very good. If the one you're looking at on eBay is Clarke mine totally ripped after a bit of a windy day, the halfords one has 3 tough under car straps
  3. Usually if the cars low on one side the opposite side is raised, the rear is basically a torsion beam
  4. I think the current cable version is more versatile if thats how its going to work, on a laptop with the cable you can take it on a test run in the car etc, if the wireless version requires a wifi network to communicate, as soon as you went out of range there'd be no connection between them. Sounds like a step backwards. Seems to me it would make far more sense to use bluetooth, 10m radius PAN wherever you are.
  5. yea the ones at the bottom of the bracket. They bolts will just have an unthreaded bit to guide it into the thread easier, just be careful to line the threads up
  6. bar getting some penetrating oil on them and letting soak then mole grips on it i dunno
  7. That part no is M6x25 The lowers are different M5x18
  8. they are copper core instead of platinum, supposedly half the service life, but even if you buy 2 sets its still cheaper than 1 set of platinums. Plus I think they will last longer than they say, I had a set in for 2 years and they looked like they could have gone another 2
  9. yea i would think the "wireless receiver" would probably act as a local broadcasting server like VLC remote.
  10. the small ones holding the sensor? or the big 8mm allen key caliper bolts?
  11. It wont be the software itll be the hardware, anyone can download full VCDS, but if you havent got a genuine cable it wont work. I got mine from gendan too. I already have the mobile version of VCDS, its installed on a laptop. fnar fnar
  12. I don't want to know how you get herpes from a scrap yard. Are you going after dark? With a "dog"?
  13. If you dremel a slot in them then you can get a flat screwdriver on them
  14. I too learned this lesson years ago, don't do anything for nothing cos they won't do it for you.
  15. Are the other ones the exact same size? If so take one to a tool and hardware shop and match it up.
  16. You stand to the side and the car faces a wall, then there's a bit more jeopardy on his part lol
  17. Rear axle is a picee of piss to change only like 4 bolts and undo the brake stuff
  18. Note : that forum is awesome I could read it forever
