  1. I did put my ballasts on the legs with tape when I had an A3 and the sticky pad you get with them failed quite quickly and took out the ballast. I would drill and tap a small like m4 bolt hole to mechanically fasten them
  2. If your clutch is old it's the obvious time to replace that aswell as you'll be removing it all anyway.
  3. I wished if put my ballasts there, I put my led indicator resistors there an after I got everything back on had the thought but couldn't be arsed taking it all off again lol. Looks like you're nearing the finished product now, you're doing everything first that with hindsight I would do next time. Good work.
  4. I think most vids are with de cat and not necessarily mani
  5. High line is just like luxury spec trim, the engine isn't any different.
  6. Bird watchers do like a nice set of tits though lol
  7. Good looking how did you do the black? Did you paint the whole thing black then sand the paint off the bits to polish?
  8. It's a Jetex cat back, I drove with the windows down tonight and I can catch a glimmer of warble every now and then lol, most or the time it just sounds like a smooth in line 6 though. Still sounds good and everyone always turns and looks so it must sound good lol
  9. Is 2 the cam sensor Edit if it's right next to the expansion tank is it the level probe
  10. If you do want to try there is a Mobil oil for high mileage engines which is 10w60 I think it's called extended life. A lad on here has put some in his recently but hasn't run it a lot yet for an opinion on it.
  11. If vertical hot glue dots just to tack it in place then when it's installed it's being compressed and held in place anyway. Otherwise just put in place then squashed with the card back on.
  12. I know full well what you mean, mine doesn't do the warble at all and I see other vids and theirs do it really obviously. I put it down to the cat too.
  13. I'm not talking aesthetics, the Hellas are much higher quality.
  14. I cut strips and blocks of seat foam from dunelm to sit in between the body and the cards where there were rattles and one by one it's stopped them.
  15. I had morrettes, hella twins are better
  16. They're morrettes, I have some on mine when I bought it, they're rare and if all in good condition are expensive
  17. The screw is just for holding it lined up with the bolt holes
  18. There's some Greek guy selling new old stock, so brand new unmarked for about £40
  19. All VR6 front grille badges were chrome effect plastic, the high line ones were slightly smaller chrome effect plastic set into a like a "plastic pill"
  20. Would it be the unburnt fuel in the exhaust gasses?
  21. Have you even read the front page of their website?
  22. VW or VR6? VW just pick one up easily from a scrapper and spray it up. VR6 you'll have more trouble finding one and might cost a bit now they're getting scarce.
  23. TPS = trade parts specialists. So the clues in the name
