  1. I think that to make it legit you have to change the engine cc in the logbook and get an engineers report to say it's up to standard. Never done it myself though so don't know for certain
  2. On the mk3 the tears are one unit like the fronts
  3. In this case it would be fair enough, but they have a field day with that statement and do their best to void any and all policies they can, insurance companies are second only to Huntley and Shipman

  7. Jesus have you seen some of the piston heads ads blatantly stating that an engine conversion hasn't been declared, so big power but you can insure it as a 1.2! Clowns

That car should say danger f*ckin idiot inside never mind pirates and shit. That bonnet is gonna mad max eviscerate someone if they went over it.
  9. What I said about the hole the bung covers up, actually quite important if you take the gearbox off, when putting the box back on you should pull the release arm forward then screw a bolt into the threaded hole so the arm is held forward, otherwise you might not get it on right and it wot operate.
  10. I think all the rubber bung is for is for lining up the release arm when re installing the gearbox
  11. So does mine and it's been on every one I've seen too
  12. Shame, someone's either gone to a lot of effort or paid someone a fair bit for the work, but the result? Hmmm My immediate thought is if the battery goes flat he is fooked
  13. I got Inphase components, I think they were xtc8 or something like that, in the fronts and the door speakers only needed a small section of the edge metal flattening to fit the stock grilles back over, the stock tweeter mounts needed gutting and turning upside down to give clearance but it was easy and has given awesome sound with totally stock looks and I'm all about the OEM+ I have an old JBL twin 10" self contained sub tube in the boot bringing up the bass. It's totally acceptable.
  14. 14v doesnt necessarily mean the alternator is giving good current though, my alternator went bad but still gave 14v, just didnt have the guts to charge the battery anymore, painfully expensive
  15. good clutch test is to try and drive off in 5th, it should stall
  16. pop the interior door handle cover off and theres 2 big ones behind it, careful as the plastic is thin and will bend or split if just screwdriver'd
  17. The one car that shouldn't have windows as you don't want anyone to see you driving it
  18. Idiots, cars have had windows for like a hundred years.
