  1. I did 6n2 handles and got them on and thought they looked just wrong, I went with rear mk3s colour coded in the end.
  2. You'll have to be real lucky to find a VR6 in a scrappers I've never seen one.
  3. Ha scrappersits a bit big to slip in your pocket lol. He means dealers, their prices are robbery.
  4. You could probably grab hold if the engine and just shove it about, try every direction.
  5. The only sure way is to push the bung out and see what the metal is like, some of mine were crunchy but still in place, but it was just underseal holding everything together.
  6. I did mine with the beam still on drilling the rubber out then cutting a section out of the sleeve with a hacksaw, then the metal sleeve could crush down and pop right out.
  7. mine had a big shunt when you went on and off throttle with the old mounts, enough movement and you could make the intake hit the bonnet or slam panel, i saw proof it hit when i painted my dipstick loop red and it hit the slam panel and ground the red off each side.
  8. It does but they are a quite old part now, it was an official recall for some early VR6s to have this part retro fitted which just consists of a bit of hose with a new valve on it. I got my local VW to order it and they had to check all the way back to Germany an it took about a month for it to appear.
  9. The later runner is one piece solid plastic instead of a multi piece part
  10. Just another thing you could possibly look at, I had an issue where the car would crank over for a long time when it had stood for a decent period of time, if you left the car for 5 mins and then back in the car it would start straight away. It was the non return valve in the fuel pump leaking back into the fuel tank so the residual pressure in the lines was nothing and it had to pump the fuel all the way back up through the lines and filter. New one way valve fixed it.
  11. I love mine on full polys its so direct and reactive
  12. I just hit mine with a green pad and menzerna power gloss then final polish with a machine polisher
  13. Mk3s don't have the little joystick they just come on with the rear screen heater
  14. Take the glass out and check the spade connectors for continuity first
  15. Check under the car for the bungs that sit in the floor holes, these are typical to rot out leaving a big hole in the floor, check all of them there's loads all over the floor.
  16. Surely you're going to need to get a replacement in whatever thread before you know what thread to tap it to
  17. Charizard or I'm not interested
  18. You got the plastic thing to work? You need like a PSN or xbox achievement trophy for that!
  19. Do you want some engine with your air filter lol
  20. Any water will use the recess as a drainage channel and the water will collect any dust on the body so that's why it will get dusty, but yea black will show it more.
  21. Car enthusiasts always like to use the latest specialist brands and exotic waxes etc but auto glym is a good range of products too, they just have the usual tarnish of being very established and mainstream so everyone thinks not good. Use their SRP ons red car and it looks fantastic.
  22. You want to check your connections, might be a dying ignition switch, bad earth, bad switched live to the clocks, You can't really clock a digital dash, that's the whole point of them, not like the good old roller wheel odo you could take the pin out and make it read whatever you like lol. It might have been changed for a different set if a gauge died or something though.
  23. Then someone should invent one to finger loosen/tighten bolts, would be much easier than pratting with a socket and extension
