  1. def get pics up! as i say 9s go but, i personally dont like 9's and shed loads of poke......dont like the 9s on the rear on that below - but if it was wearing the same as the front on the back it would be peeeerfect (l)
  2. are they beetle steels? if so get some pics up after! i love em! u can go 9's, its the tyres tread that cant pertrude (spelling??) the arch. think 8-8.5 is good tho
  3. think so......im gonna try it in mine first. cant seem to get a definite answer wots needed. im thinking its just the crown wheel and pinion. a standard vr6 cw/p is 18-61 which is 3.39.... now ive got a couple of 19-70 cw/p's.....70 divided by 19= 3.68
  4. no worries, should be able to sort some gearbox oil if u like too. gotta go down ur way to pick them wings up at some stage anyway. and ive got two 3.68 ratio crown wheel and pinions..........
  5. love it, harlequin ftw! get it done! and 1200 euros for tax!!!!!!!!!!!????
  6. timing chain rattle, and jus the normal stuff really. the only thing i thought not much of, but now bothers me on mine is where people jack em up by the sills and they collapse. bout it tho
  7. really depends on damage is..........
  8. so as vw where open this morning, i pulled the relay (involving pliers! couldnt get the bugger out!) rang vw with the codes off it and after some faffing he found it. he rekons its a starter relay?? surely not with the issues i had?? so anyway out of pure curiosity (or £25 they wanted for a new relay!) i thought while the relay was out id have a go at starting it. started first time, went for a drive and it was fine! no stuttering or anything! so i'll be leaving that relay out, problem solved! still none the wiser to wot it actually does tho
  9. its not the battery, alternator, fuel pump relay.....but it is a relay for sure. i found it by holding my finger on each relay till i felt the one that was clicking one lol (very technical :-p ) put up in the premium members bit this morning was a diagram and key of wot each relay does, i do realise i cant post that in this section, but here is the diagram without the key which is no help so become a premium member if u wanna see it all! the one thats playing up is in position no. 15, the key describes this as 'open'. which i assume means unused or empty. i can assure u its not and its breaki
  10. glad its sorted! mine didnt come with a spare wheel, saves weight lol. jus get a can of tire weld. also any good place should be able to skim ur discs, should be cheaper than a new set (should be, not sure)
  11. same, cant afford wheels or tyres :-( ive 'rolled' my front arches and it seems to of done the trick till i take it lower. needs spacers up the back tho im so in love with this below, 195 50's, 20mm rears 15 mm front spacers (not a fact, been told lol) sits perfect (h)
  12. changed pump relay and no luck. seems to be getting steadily worse, will check battery again i think
  13. battery seems to be charging and holding a charge.......gonna try the pump relay if i can find out which one for sure. dont kno how to test relays?? kno they dont do a haynes for the vr but surely its the same as any other mk3? edit: jus found this (so yea, bottom right ta!)
  14. hmmmmmmm pulled the imob box out and had it to my ear while driving lol, 95% sure its not that..... does anyone know wot relay does wot? theres a key on the back of the fuse box cover for the fuses but not the relays......
  15. right, a few weeks ago i noticed a clicking noise - originally thought was jus the ignition keys jangling but no...... started getting worse recently, and more frequent and with no routine. tho it does it rarely when at idle but alot when moving, sometimes it sounds like if left the indicator on, other times its every 3-5 seconds. today it started holding back/losing power at the moment when it clicked, like i dropped off the accelerator for 0.2 of a second?! the only thing is its so infrequent when stationary/idling that ive had me head under listening, but its not done it, plus when driving
  16. let anyone go in mine, tho apart from me only 2 mates and my mrs have ever driven it cos its a horrible drive! bouncy, crashy, bumpy and its mentally draining watching out for potholes and stuff in the road, but i love it
  17. region im from is essex......chelmsford (well, the wilds of dengie or woodham walter) down there at least once every 2 months. but now living in lancashire. notice theres a couple round this way? MEEEEET! should deffo organise summit

  20. mines an ebay job, done well i think. always hitting the road and any slight dip/incline, its currently snapped in 3 places but zip ties sorted that out lol.even my standard shallow splitter got ripped off the other day too
  21. rikkisupercharged, its very nice! ive never liked tt comps till that car http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?168705.10 oh mines below, but its a bit more.....eeerrrrrr....ghetto lol
  22. i got a load of hi ten bolts, i used them on my front mount when i raised it so they good. if the one u need is the same size bolt as the front mount that is? can make it any length
