  2. im out this sat, no way can do sunday - 6th annual booze cruise! ....and prob not monday...next weekend? i rekon at mikes :-* not as far for me lol
  3. im with adrian flux, im 22....costs me £600, parked on the road in the centre of leigh (errrrr, its where they relocated jon venables till recently, not nice area!!!) tho, they wouldnt insure me on a standard car. the only way was if the vehical was modified?! they say cos its a special policy or summit, good excuse for coils i thought!

  5. im selling a freshly rebuilt box soon....with g60 f/d......jus gotta finish it then figure out how much to ask for it! its got new bearings, seals, gaskets and the crown wheel rivits replaced with stronger bolts, new diff internals, new forks etc...

  11. nah sorry....edited my post, prob confusing! it didnt start at all, didnt even try. jus hissed and clicked at me. but after removing the starter leads and starting again fitting them correctly (i think) it works. so musta messed up somewhere there. i do wonder wot that hissing noise was tho??
  12. sorted it now, think my positive lead was touching my negative lead on the starter. think ive mixed my leads up somewhere but it runs thank god! tbh its one of them things, car dont start, get angry, blame car, not look at the obvious cos ur annoyed, come on here hoping someones jus gonna say "yea, take the battery terminal off, give it a blow and a rub on ur shirt (like when cd's dont work lol) and refit it. simple" but no, u end up laying in the road again, skinning ur knuckles forcing ur hands in tight spaces with scratchy things, in the rain, getting filthy dirty when all u wanna do is

  14. :@ right, if done all my searches on here, poked around everything i can think of on the car....can anyone else help? fitted new chains etc. been driving it around today and all seemed fine. noticed before leaving her parents the clock had reset to 00:00 but didnt think anything of it. got home turned it off and ther was a funny noise behind the speedo (hissing, and maybe some clicking). went to start it and it didnt. turn the keyand the digital displays fade to blank but the dash lights work? doesnt even try to start tho. release the key and the clock and milometer come back on, clock back o
  15. can anyone shed some light on this? got same problem? jus done timing chains. put it back together today and been driving around most of the day. jumped in the car to come home and noticed the time on the clocks had gone back to 00:00 even tho i set it to right time previosly. didnt think much of it tho. got home (5min drive) turned ignition off and a funny hissy noise from behind the speedo, followed by a few clicks. now im getting exact same as above rahkee's first post???

  17. rattle canned standard wheels and rubber.... ebay's finest coilovers wound down with helpers junked no spacers yet, tho needs them on the rear 'rolled' arches...(metal bar between tyre and arch, then drive forwards :-# ) poverty spec (h)
  18. would i be right in assuming the ally rocker cover has the flat gasket and the plastic cover has the 'T' shape gasket? oh and if anyone needs a flat gasket ive got an unfitted one lol!
  19. u have to take the whole inlet mani off. its pretty easy. make sure u got the right gasket tho cos i made that mistake!
  20. yea.......took the bus to work today and seemed ok, my boss is ok about me doing different hours for a bit so the whole lots gonna come off and ill do it properly!!!
  21. haha no worries. didnt realise u had to take the box off for the tensioner rail have to put it back together till i can doit properly then
