  1. Yeah will need the local tescos, food and beer. Do they have good bogs??? (for the chilli dogs!) :-)
  2. Tony, sorry to here about your job fella, thats shite. Chin up though mate! There's plenty of broken vr's on here to fix! ;-)
  3. When ever they open, before all the chavs at USC wake up!!
  4. Could you do a bonnet size sticker?
  5. Yeah, why not? Could do with breaking my strip virginity before the end of the summer! (and by strip i mean drag strip!)
  6. Well, could be 1 of the pressure sensors on top of the oil filter housing. I've heard of these becoming faulty over time.
  7. You never heard the joke about porsche drivers and hedge hogs??? :-)
  8. I, well we will come please, would be better the latter weekend, but see what happens. :-)
  9. Looking good mate, the hex caps in your sig look good, but its your car, you decide! Why not get both and chop n change? :-)
  10. 1000 steady miles, not going above 3000rpm, always checking oil/coolant levels. After that change oil and filter and refill with good oil, then give it some beans!
  11. Imo you should always have the head skimmed if its removed from the block.
  12. Oh, did you torque the head bolts down correctly? In the correct order? Did you not have the head skimmed when you did the gasket?
  13. As promised pics of yesterdays mods. And todays cleaning and polish! Raised the rev limit and it feels good! Put it up to 6500rpm soft limit, 7000rpm hard limit. Held boost fine, just can't get higher than 0.5 bar of boost, so needs playing with before billing.
  14. Mine has a slight leak from there too, i think its fairly normal as the oil transfers from the block to the head there.
  15. Corrado = mk2 golf with different outside body panels. It will fit, it has been done,
  16. But i started with a vr, so why sell the engine an buy an r32? Its different because its a mk3 golf, vr, r32 4wd, original engine for the car. I like the way the 12v vr engine behaves, and its far simpler than the r32/36 lumps.
  17. You could brace the rear of it up, as there is no strength there, and thats were they fracture! http://media.photobucket.com/image/02a%20release%20bearing%20pivot/rocketeer928/Jetta%20Modifications/2009-09-ZZM.jpg
  18. Do they? I'm using an ebay type catch can an its ok, no build up of pressure.

  20. Yeah i think the standard clutches can handle quite a bit of abuse, but the weakest point would porbably be thrust bearing carrier, the pressed piece of tin, beef that up and it will handle abuse alot better!
