  1. Wishbone bushes may have gone soft might be worth putting some R32 or aftermarket bushes in then having 4 wheel alignment
  2. Me I would like £1200 for mine :}
  3. Yes but it wasn't a MK2. I'm still lurking .
  4. It is normal there is nothing stopping the strut dropping until the metal top touches the top of the strut tower the weight of the car keeps it up there .
  5. Why do you need a pair of rca sockets Usb is the way forward either in the glovebox or into centre console under heaters
  6. There should not be any difference maybe there was a filler part on the other dash.
  7. I would imagine even if you bought a newer Sony unit the wiring would now be different to the old CD changer so would not help. I have a Pioneer with 2 USB connectors and Bluetooth to pair with my Phone so much easier than having CD's in the car.
  8. If its a generic mk3 lower strut brace your lucky it fits at all they are rumoured not to fit the VR6. You can also fit the R32 sump which is shallower but will shatter if hit too hard.
  9. You need to check the dates on threads before you post. This was last posted on Feb 2010
  10. Make sure the outer bit that turns is in the correct position for the connectors to slide into each other before twisting.
  11. no just snip the green cap off if you cant get it of any other way
  12. It goes onto the brake servo vacuum pipe there is a nipple with a green cover on it
  13. You should be able to see it and disconnect from inside the engine bay.
  14. Possibly the heater loom in the seat has a split in it. You will need to take the seat cover off and have a look. Have you made sure power is getting to the seat before you do that though.
  15. I have rainbow three way speakers in mine but you need to modify dash vent on the nearside and the tweeters are not hidden. You have to have these amped up as the power is a higher. The standard speaker wire runs from the stereo to the tweeter in the dash then onto the door speaker so is fairly easy to add crossover at this point.
  16. The more power you have the more the engine tries to twist you can crack exhausts etc because of the movement I was going to go the turbo route so changed mine anyway but have decided not to bother now.
  17. Not sure to be honest Pete (chairman) should be able to tell you as he changed his Raddo from obd1 to obd2.
  18. You'll need to swap that front mount for a Vibratechnic or solid one.
  19. They are obliged to refund you as the part was wrong if it wasn't wrong it would not have got damaged that is your consumer right. THEY KNOW THAT SO KICK UP SHIT AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK
  20. Throttle bodies are different as are the bolt holes for the throttle body onto inlet mani.
  21. If you spend £3000 on rebuilding the engine and don't drive it over 2000rpm I would imagine the chance of it being unreliable is greatly reduced compared to if you just bung a turbo on a standard motor and blat it every where. Reliability has too many determining factors. Buiit properly they are no more unreliable than a standard VR gearboxes seam to be a week leak.
  22. Don't know I couldn't be bothered to do mine I paid a garage as I hate the smell of GB oil with a vengeance.
