    My MK1 has been laid up for 18 months should start fine with a new battery ill just wind the engine over with a socket and bar to get the oil pressure up a bit before turning over with the key. That's what I did last time I laid it up for 2 years

    I had a citroen bx 16v 160bhp no torque steer what so ever possibly due to the fact they had a mount for the longer drive shaft at the back offside of the engine

    Thicker oils are not necessarily better as the thicker oil could put more of a load on an already worn oil pump. Have you tried to flush the engine maybe something is sticking.

    I have a standard front grill vr6 badge in chrome what are they worth? I know how much they were new as I was able to buy one from the stealers before they were obsolete.

    Will get some Saturday. Mocal think its 11 row but will check Saturday think it has the adapter thingy to add on to vr6 as well.

    Yes they are the same I bought my friend some of ebay last year for her slk was cheaper to buy a set than a single one £75 for four.

    If insurance companies paid what peoples cars are worth instead of trying to give scrap or trade value all the time maybe people wouldn't feel the need to get compensation. My partner got hit from behind while stationary they offered her £250 for her car of which she refused so they told her to get comparisons I looked on autotrader found 2 cars similar mileage and age and condition for just over £1000 but they said no and showed her a crappy white one that was up for £350 no history high mileage no comparison.     I had them in Hi and LO beam in mk3 and have them in my MK1 so cant see what the problem was with your mk2
