  10. Look in any haynes manual and it tell you! u need to turn the car on whilst pressing the mfa or reset button then scroll through the services you have carried out and turn them off!. in 02 is a majour service i think?
  11. Took the birds gti to the shop today as my rear brakes have frozen on!! at 7.30 this morn it was -9 acording to the cars mfa anyway i was slowly driving her car when it started to slide and i could do nothing as it slid down hill and hit the kerb at an angle with the front wheel!! dam it I still feels fine and traking apears not to be affected by the tap! but the wheel has a light scuff on it! glad it was not my car lol
  12. gingerly! (no offence to red heads lol) Alot of tossers today that didnt ajust their speed enough!! But its guess work really for most of us as it seems to be 5 or more years between snow's!
  13. I was taucht that by a Race car instructor whist doing a track day at Thruxton!! Oh another one is the obdvious one but 'Straighten out the corners' Ie Get your braking done (in a str8 line) enter the corner as wide as poss Clip the apex mid corner Then as you feed in the power slowly unwind the steering lock and again go as wide as poss on exit! Allways use smooth steering and get the car settled and lined up pre corner, keep the lock on (dont keep ajusting the lock through the corner as it can unsettle the car) then unwind it on exit!
  14. This is the slight coverage we had! Not alot!! View from rabbit house The garden the house The lane was nice and covered mind!
  15. Hi all! i live down here in dorset and we have only had a light covering!! It caused mayhem here and with the help of breakdowns, crashes and the ever helpfull p.c. plods blocking slippery slopes, turned my 15 min journey to work in to an hour trip of boredom!! All that aside i did get to do a handbrake turn or 2 in my field when i got home!! Have any of you managed to have fun with it or as we get old is snow just a pain in the arse!!?? :-d
  16. Bad luck mate!! My lane was a white out today!! Did have some 2nd gear spin fun (just to check for grip) but living in dorset its not to bad here!
  17. Get all your braking done in a str8 line! then be in correct gear for exiting the corners and feed powere in smoothly and progressivly! never stab in the power!
  18. I think that one has gone in my car!! when you pull away something makes a creaky squeeky horrible noise!! ive got to do my wish bones so may do it at the same time if it is this one!?
  19. Go on to a loose surface (mud, gravel, grass or ice) Then hit the ankors as hard as u can!! if the car skids then u have no abs! if the car pulls up and the peddal is hammering on your foot you have no problems!!
