thanks for your replies and giving a shit ,most interesting. are the tt brakes 4 pot? is anone running boxster s fronts? what ofset is required for these? as I think I want some 4 pots cheers

I'm getting a bit more go so will be needing some better stoppin . reading through all the threads etc there seems to be lots of opsions for up rateing golf vr6 front brakes. I always run 17" wheels, so whats the best ,easyest,cheapest way to do this? porsche,cupra s, tt ,bromo? I have no experiance with brakes,what's involved?what will fit? so any help would be good cheers Pete

well I spose I should start at the beginning.... april 07 my 110k vr6 engine starts smoking, good excuse to start my engine bay and finish the car I think, (for those that dont know me my golf is a full on show car not a daily, pic at bottom) I smooth out the bay and sorce a used 2.9 engine from this site (first mistake, my bad, seller was a noob and not back since) so i rebuild the top end new chains etc get everthing chromed that can be chromed bolt on my new charger and take it for mapping,(second mistake, dont bolt a charger to a new engine, make sure the engine is good first) now jan 08.

has anyone ever had there charger re build, recondisioned, ie new bearings and seals, if so, who does this in the UK or is something you did yourself? any info would be appreciated cheers. Pete
