    Guys n gals can you help? was on my way home tonight and turned off the main road in to my lane. I flicked on to main beam (i have hid's in mk4 style lights) the lights flickered and that was it! i now only can get main beam if i hold the stalk in as if i was flashing the lights! I am guessing that a relay on the fuse board has popped! well i am hopeing thats all! is this likeley or has anyone had this happen to thier car!

    mate i had this problem with my birds car! did my head in for ages!! asked everyone no luck!! peoples even said "oh yeah ! that will be the pollen filter and leaves blocking every where" NOT!!!! any way i found her problem after hours of looking and pooring water everywhere! If you look in the door shuts at the front end of the car (A pillar) there is a bung there with a cross shape to its end! this had become unattached from the sunroof drain up inside the a pillar allowing water to go on to the floor! i refitted the bung to the metal pipe using a thin tube and pushing it down the drai

    I have flappy wings just there mate! i think the wing is bolted to the sill but you can wobble the bottom edge of the wing (on my car at least)

    50 squid is not bad id say! worth just thrwing it back together depending how much your garage charge to do that for you Prob with using another engine is how sure can you be of its history? did a replace gear box and now although better than b4 still feels crappy!

    yeah mk3 rears are known for being crap! and water gets in to the hand brake cables and then they freeze in position ie handbrake on! mine does it its anoying!!

    The rear window on my birds gti is playing up!! Ive taken off the door card and got to the mech! i will pull the window down well! so well in fact that it crushed my fingers in to the edge of the metal! leaving a very deep cut in my finger and another cut all from the metal edges! So it will pull down the window! will not push it up! wire plls and pushes! is there a clip or fixing broken or is it that the mech has had it? When the window is up it can just be pushed down!! Ive made a temp fix with a piece of wood holdaing it up so the car is warm and secure! Its to bloody cold out there and GSF
