Ah great news!! i was thinking some fool had been messing with my wires but it appears not!! I think there are some empty bottles of alcohol in the electronics dep of vw! I am used to it now and the spare switch i purchased at great cost wont fix the error

They are not like the seats in the new audis!! my friend has a Q7 and that almost burnt my ass!!lol Check the wires that come out of the seat for ring continuity!! may work!! when mine went it was the resistor that failed but i had no luck finding one so got a new element! the base one!

Ive got one here in my hand and it clicks when i move it off of zero!! I have an issue where the switch on the right does the seat on the left and visa versa Also had an issue with the passenger seat where the element had broken! they can be repaired or as i did, get a new heat pad from vw and get your local trimmer to fit it as its not a long job! it took my mate about an hour to do that was from removal to refit!!

I used pop rivets on my bird GTI mate!! simple job!! I used silver ones but if u can get black ones!!??
