  1. ah fair enough.. i can understand that its a totaly rediculess question. to turbo a VR and then want to run it without any boost lol. i just really love the sound of the VR. and if i get my speed fix from a bike then the desire to make my VR quick will be less. sound comfort and looks will become more important. I still have never hurd a VRT in the flesh and it might be a sound that makes me more hard than one in N/A form. I want more power from it but don't really want to loose the sound i love. If i could get that sound back from turning down the boost in cab, when i go though tunnels

  3. wrap the standard manifold in fiberglass. cheep easy and will defo increase strength. not as strong as a metal item but will be stronger than standard

  5. how about before boost comes on? still sound like ye old VR? in the process of getting a bike so i might not need my VR to be quick.. although it would still be nice and i still love it. i think its the way air gets sucked though the staggered intake that makes the "noise".. might still sound the same if you turn the boost off
  6. lol.. i spent 6 months like this.. fix the bit that attactes to the window? if thats a possible bodge??.. if its truly mashed then you need a new window reg, about £150 from vw.. rare as on ebay for a drivers side.. normally some passengers on there though
  7. there's nothing worse than lieing on a drive way with a car 5" away from your face. welding splatter going down your sleeves and making little fires in your hair lol, car bursting into flames inside the cab lol.. i fu**** hate it .. Ive got some awkward area's left that im really not interested in. id say your service is well worth it. might be in contact depending on distance. out of interest how are you protecting the inside of the repair i.e inside the sill.. stresses me out trying to protect the repair from inside
  8. true dat. i was under the impression that as the inlet manifold wouldn't be under pressure it might still sound like an NA VR. as it would be sucking rather than getting blown in :S

Currently we dont have a 'kit', but we have: [list']Manifold TurboInjectors MAFSoftare DownpipeTurbo inlet pipe At the moment we need to check to see if our R32 intercooler setup can be used with a standard front bumper. could you not sell all these items together as a basic kit? and what is the price of all the listed items above (average size turbo, 440 cc injectors and relative software)

  16. yer although i love my VWs , mk2s 1 3 4 5 6 lol well most dubs im still a all round petrol head. m3 beemers old new skylines evo scoobys RX7s TVRs R8s, bikes ducatis R6s the new fireblade, crossers quads. i love em all. i don't understand how adding 70bhp to evo 8 FQ320- with is already a turboed car can be so expensive? what also appeals to me is that its already done. buy it, open the door and i got a good handling 320 4 wheel drive car,

    mk4 r32 dash

    with most dash conversions its not getting them in the car thats hard. its getting the (in this case mk4 R32) clocks to work with the VR6 engine. so you need to split all the wires on the back of the clocks. work out what does what and then link it into the VR loom then you got the heater cables to work link upto the mk4 ones
  18. tempting though isn't it lol. i was looking at the old scoobys . £1500 4 wheel drive 270bhp, then rip all the interior out of it, just to hammer it around like. so i don't have to beat on the VR. As jim says i was shocked at the price to get them over 350 bhp.. for a 400+bhp set up it was somewhere around 10k
  19. don't get me wrong. im sure that a properly set up VRT would be a proper weapon on track and street.. problem is ive been brain washed into splits, stretched tyres and always loved my car low.. when ever i hit bumpy country roads with loads of tight corners every 40m, jumps, gravel mud ect (the roads i love) and my wheels start rubbing there always a part of me that can't help thinking that a evo would be so much more fun to drive
  20. Im not sure if i should turbo the VR6, or just save the money and hassle an buy a FQ 320 evo 8 or something like that. Don't get me wrong i love my dub, 60% of the time i think fuck this, always braking, fighting rust, small little problems and dreaming/ stressing about making it into something it possibly can never be. constant massive list of things i want todo. im never happy with it.   21. x 2 my thoughts exactly - all comes down to personal preference - and pathetic though it may be the noise was one factor in my decision and have had so many peeps with turbos chargers etc say how nice my car sounds I always know I made the right decision plus 280 bhp at 5 psi speaks for itself ! puts me off turboing my car. still love the sound but i wouldn't want to loose the VR burble.. which i think you keep with a charger?
