is is all for sale now. 02m gearbox (strongest one) , gearselector and cables, driveshafts, hubs, starter motor, flywheel. I payed £550 (including the flywheel) I want the same really. reason im breaking is im buying a new car... going to miss it :-(

ECU is now for sale mate. breaking car.. there £250 and you send your ECU to C2.. i brought this for £180 a few weeks ago. i want the same for it. that will include P+P -

got it back home along with the rest of the bits.. seems alright, drive shaft cups are harder to spin than the 02a but i guess thats because of the transer box.. this unit feels about twice the weight of the vr box proper heavy. Dude that I brought it off had binned all the bolts which is a bit cock but ill just get them from VW. Theres no oil in there, should be alright but id have prefered it be stored with oil the boss from helix is trying to sort me out with a different clutch set up with go with the flywheel as im only running N/A VR.. to try and cut some of the cost down... ah if only you had said sooner. ive got the 4 motion driveshafts now. have you kept the transer box when you did yours? what clutch and flywheel have you used and where from? nearly had a heart attack.. Its like £600 for a single mass flywheel and clutch. well cheepest i can find so far. might end up using 2nd hand clutch and dual mass flywheel for now found a metal lathe i can use at one of my mates dads work

Have you seen the advert? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHAZhj1s4FE lol im not surprised he missed the point dude. kev was simply saying that as engines have become more refined as far as the fueling and mapping side of things go the higher compression you can get away with without det. although 10.1 is lower than a FSI engine is pritty much the same as a standard VR6. and to run 20 psi though a standard VR6 most would think is madness

thanks for the help both of you Ive ended up with the box, shifter, cables, starter, both front drive shafts, both front hubs all for £450 feels like a good price. so all i need now is flywheel and clutch, thermostate, 2 new front wheel bearing and that should be pritty much it maidan VR6 what flywheel / Clutch have you used? just had a look at the rest of your build. you've done really well with them archs and the prep. what i nice place to spray a car. do you have any past exsperance in paint? the new wheels look alot better. look way more up to the job, im sick of my santa monicas. -

thats wank about the hand mate. just look at it as a big hoilday lol, could have happend in the summer though lol. so if your bore you wont mind me bugging you some more on the o2m convertion ??lol ive just brought me self a o2m when i pick it up im also going to try and get gear selctor/ cables, flywheel / clutch , drive shafts and front hubs. can you think of anything else i might need? can i just get abit more info about how you did it again. You used R32 front hubs? are they the same as the 4 motion ones which id like to use. did you use the 3mm spacers on both front hubs. how did -
what have they changed on the mk5 box? it would be nice but thats just to much money is it the v6 4 motion box i want or the R32 is there any more desiable gearbox codes? the V5 box sounds good. but its 5 speed. yeah think its got the 02J gear set or somthing. alot more bolt in i think as it from the same VR6 engine. only need to change drive shaft cups, gear cables/ selector and starter motor. shifts better and lower ratio FD. all for about £300 recon i can do the o2m for about £750ish kev any idea where i can get a good lightweight steel 24v flywheel? idealy without spending to much tha

well ive eaten yet another mk3 gearbox on my n/a VR 3rd one now. so im looking at putting a o2m in. or maybe a V5 box. just looking into prices first. which o2m is the one to go for? car will be running 16s, front wheel drive, and N/A for now, might change later on. I want a lower final drive but still drivable if i got FI parts list O2m gearbox gear selector and cables C2 o2m gearbox mount C2 blanking plate drive flange (02M 409 356 A) 24V flywheel???? 24v clutch???? and custom drive shafts do i need mk4 v6 starter motor? feels exspensive, like really exspensive lol am i right in thin

just plugged in my C2 ecu n/a remap. I thought i wouldn't be able to tell much difference. just a few more bhp if i put it on a dyno and a higher redline. its the best money ive spent on my car yet. totaly changed the way it drives and feels a fair bit faster. im totaly loving it. My problem is ive got a rev limit of 7300. its well off my rev counter. I thought id try and hit it and left it going in 2nd gear to try and work out how long ive got before ive got to change gear in the futcher. sounded amassing. but it just never hit the rev limit carryed on pulling nicly. pehaps i pussyed

well whats happened is the big end went on my 150,000 mile block. went a bit quick round a corner and the oil light flashed on.. few months down the line and a tiny little tap started sounding like an AK lol new engine devlived to my door for £240, 88k looks mint no leaks, happy days. get my engine lift back off my mate 6pm today. 11 rushing my balls off and its all in ready to go, water PAS strearing all top up, bit of smoke coming from the starter motor when you turn the igntion. Sort that out (battery in boot and the way all the eye lets where sitting it wasn't making a good contact) t
