Im a little worried about my VR @ the moment. On odd occassions im getting a grinding noise from the engine area of my car. When the noise occurs i can feel it in the accelerator pedal and when i brake the pedal vibrates and the noise sounds worse. Does anyone have any ideas...just a bit concerning as im sure it will get worse if i leave it. Thanks. (h)

I say this everytime a problem like this comes up, but thats only because its happened to me. Try testing the MAF or seeing if you can get a mate to swap them over. Just a thought.

I love it. Always been a fan of the mk2's, and was sad to let mine go. Would of liked to put a vr lump it like yours but didnt have the skills. Yours looks spot especially with the Borbet A's. Some de-arching and chrome bumpers would look awesome i think, but thats my opinion. Good job

Not keen on the wheels, but i think once lowered it will make a big difference. I have gash JAP style wheels on my DUB @ the moment and some people say they look good and others not. I think not so i have TT Comps going on soon. Nice number plate too. Look forward to the updates.

Or check the MAF. These were the symptons for mine, see if you can borrow someones instead of buying one first. Also, can you put VAG-COM on a mk2 conversion...? -
Seems as these things happen more @ xmas then any other time of the year. Every xmas time my car gets something stolen from it, or broken into...this year i have been lucky (touch wood) and have put off fitting my new head unit until new year. Sorry to hear about your misfortune mate. Nothing makes me angrier.

Whats the state of affairs with removing and smoothing the indicators? Is it a legal requirement to have them as i see so many show cars that dont have them like the yellow mk3 in this months PVW.

I wanted a 5 door, not only because they are slightly different when modded, but i needed it for practicality. But, i ended up getting a 3 door as the price was too good to refuse. Would consider swapping maybe oneday for a 5 door though.
