  1. Oh, i wasnt aware of that. I might go to Inters instead then! Lol.
  2. What you do in your leisure time please keep to yourself! This thread is only about the SWMS.
  3. You bringing two of you then Russ! Lol
  4. Ah...good point, i think ill check once the car goes in, if too bad then i shall fit some new skirts. As for the smoothing, i had that exact problem when i did it on my mk2 golf. Looked terriblle.
  5. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in getting a stand together for the South West Motor Show in Newton Abbot, Devon this year. This show has grown and grown and i have attended every year, sometimes on a stand and sometimes not. Just wondering if the events co-ordinator could organise something. This is the link to the show: http://www.southwestmotorshow.com
  6. See if you can source another wheel IMO, else as said youll end up with three worthless wheels.
  7. Ive been there before, so i know abit about the place. Its costing £850 pp! Think of what i could do with the VR for that money Lol.
  8. After my g/f has been nagging me for weeks to book our holiday i finally bit the bullet and went and booked it. I was warey as the VR is supposed to be getting a respray @ easter but it seems i might be able to have both...if not the holiday goes! Lol. Anyhow, we finally decided we would go to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks all inc. (h)
  9. Removing the side skirts is not going to be a problem as the whole car is being resprayed. As for the tow hook, it was on the car when i bought it, and it comes through the bottom part of the rear bumper and would therefore leave a hole.
  10. @ around easter im hoping to get a full respray on the DUB in the same colour. However theres a couple of things im planning. 1. Louvres in the wing 2. Flush the wiper and badge off But... i am in debate about these ones 3. Colour coding the bottom part of the rear bumper. (I currently have a tow hook sticking through mine so i would either get a new bumper and have it left, or have mine fixed and colour coded) Not sure??? 4. Remove side skirts (As one is cracked and the other is scuffed) Shall i keep them on and buy some new ones, or get rid? I need to start thinking about this as i will h
  11. I think it looks really good, nothing id change i dont think.
  12. Polo needs lowing and some ronals i feel, and the mk2 looks smart but needs different wheels IMO. Not overly keen on the shaven handles, but love the rear end and that boot build must be heavy- does look good though! A nice VeeDub family there! (h)
  13. @ the moment im not concerned as it hides my rust. But i still clean my car every week.
  14. That is clean, always liked the mk1's but always thought they were a bit old old skool for me. Im a big mk2 fan.
  15. Taking it down the garage on Saturday so i can get it in the air.
  16. I would to be on the safe side, else you'll be trapped one day and on the back of a AA truck!
  17. Around town i get about 24mpg if im easy, but i recently had an overfuelling problem which is now sorted. On a run about 28-30mpg sat @ 80-85mph. Trouble is around town i dont get above 40mph, which is what i usually do. Thats on Super Unleaded too.
  18. Cant say ive noticed it when cornering TBH.
  19. Looks very tidy and clean. Nice subtle mods. Works fir me! (h)
  20. This came up on my local cruise forum...bloody shocking!
  21. Im still waiting for the PS3, but wont get it straight away anyway due to the ridiculous release price. The 360 like any other games consoles bar the PS im not a fan of. But lots of people have them and swear they are great...so like what has been said, get one until the ps3 comes out then p/x it.
