Someone did actually mention that, where can i find it, and would it of come loose? I would love to get it on VAG com but i dont know anywhere or anyone that has it.

Its starts fine sometimes, then after about 10-30secs just dies. Then sometimes it starts a dies after about 2 secs, sounding like its misfiring or something.

As some of you may of read im having some serious troubles with my VR and running problems. After the AA came on Wednesday they reckoned it could of been the split breather pipe or something to do with fuel starvation. So, i replaced the breather pipes today and still nothing. Syntoms are: Car starts, then cuts out Or Car starts idles quite lumpy then when revved sounds like its running on 2 cylinders and pops a bit then dies Any advice as the car is currently stranded about 4 miles away from my house! Thanks.

At the moment i cant get it anywhere...fitted new breather pipes this evening in the pouring rain, and didnt help one bit!! The AA dont know whats wrong with it so tomorrow im having it towed to a garage for them to check it out! Not having much fun @ the moment!

Well, this evening when i left work at 5.15 my VR wouldnt stay alive for more than 10 seconds. Initially i thought, ah just hasnt been run for 8 hours. So started it up again, and it did the same! Remembering that i had a new breather pipe fitted on Sat i thought that could be the problem, then i noticed the breather pipe i bodged on sat was split, so after about an hour i did a DIY job which i thought was excellent, almost a professional bodge. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem, and i had to phone the AA. Well, 2 hours later they turned up, and said that it could be that or the fu

Apparently its 60mm which is 2.50" so looks like it will once the bracket is fitted!

As soon as mine hits 1/4 tank im to the petrol station. The problem with the VR it doesnt hold a lot of fuel, but uses so much, so it seems as though you are always at the petrol station!!!

Personally i think 17" are the right size for the mk3, and 16" for the mk2. As for style, thats always a personal preference and to be different you have to make that decision. Oh, unless you get split rims with a massive dish!

I would of been stupid for VW to make a newer car that was similar to the VR, so obviously it has to have more benefits, and going by the above posts it does. Still not keen on the style, but its one of those things that will grow im sure.
