24/2/07- Removed the side skirts as they were scrapping against the door when opened and they were a little rusty on top. The pictures show what i mean. Unforunately as soon as i took them off the heavens opened up and couldnt get any pics without them on and all cleaned up. Moderator edit by: Admin -
With a respray still on the cards in the future i was wondering about puting Louvres in the wing. After looking @ my wing today there is a small dent in it and around the arch there is some rust, so im going to get a mint second hand wing. But shall i put louvres in it?

handbrake light coming on while driving?

Yeah, check the brake fluid bottle. The cap on mine dropped off and the sensor popped up. If the sensor isnt pushed down fully the light will come on. I had to use blu-tac to keep mine down as VW dont sell just the cap. -

Well, it kinda is. I was so happy to have it back i rolled the windows down today and just listened to the engine. Ok, i used 1/4 of a tank of fuel, but was enjoyable! lol.

22/2/07- Got the VR back from the body shop after 2 days being in there. Not too bad for now. Lacquer has come off on the door where the wing pushed into it and i have decided the side skirts need to come off as they are rotten. Heres what it looks like now: Moderator edit by: Admin

I had an accident 5 years ago, didnt seem like much @ the time but im suffering now big time. Neck ache, not being able to sit still, sleeping problems etc...get it checked anyhow mate.

Like said, not a Deer @ least. Plus it wasnt your fault so i should be a nice pay out for you. Id say its a right off for sure. As for whiplash claim only if you have it as its false claims that make insurance go up. On the other hand i reckon millions do it, so what will one more person hurt! (6) If it does get written off, fancy selling the headlights? :$

Got the VR back today 21/2/07. Not looking brilliant but it will have to do for now. The final bill came to £677.50. Had to have the air con decompressed and re-compressed again £75. Also had the on car VAG.COM and i need 3 sensors and a new AUX belt. If that wasnt bad enough, my TAX and MOT is @ the end of March too Will get pics of the work carried out, not bad for two days.
