  1. Why did you waste your money and buy them if your not sure? :| Thats one of the reasons I liked mine when I got it, no wheel arch covers, and as said a retention place for water and muck. Much less likely to rot if you can keep them clean.
  2. You could try bleeding , might be some air in the system. Don't really know if you can adjust them as they're hydraulic, but never had a look tbh mate.
  3. You could get the crankshaft and flywheel lightened.
  4. A sensible move. The plugs vw use are £10 each with VAT., there's £210 straight away, then oil and filters. Probably be nearer £300.
  5. Not at the minute mate. The wife is getting a digital camera off he mother for her birthday, so no doubt I'l have to test it out! All I have at the moment is the one's off my phone and they'r pretty crap! NO they are very crap!Yours is looking good from the photo mate!
  6. Have you looked in the thread you started in the wheels and suspension forum?
  7. Touchee. Just wondering, are the plastic bits on your car colour coded, I can't really tell from the avatar? The only black bits on mine are the front and rear bumper skirt things . The side body trims, tailgate spoiler and upper bumpers are all colour coded, just want to know if mines been to a paintshop or not?
  8. Or you could try doing it yourself, all you need I'm told is a rubber hammer and ten pints of Stella.
  9. The bastards! Is that your car in the avatar? Looks the same colour as mine , hot chilli red.
  10. You will just need to do something with the holes from the rivets (fill and paint etc). It's the same shell.
  11. So I noticed. Nice while it lasted tho. Were you warned by people above?
  12. Nothing worse than a rusty hole.....or two rusty holes.
  13. I've seen them on the awesomegti site in the styling department. Can't remember who makes them though.
  14. Nice avatar Peter. Is that the wife then? !lol
  15. That looks like a real hoot! Some good photos as well. Like the white mk2, and want one of those Viper things when I win the lottery, nothing else I've seen suits the Viper stripes like a Viper. That Porsche looks like the starship enterprise from the back. I presume thats all you seen of it on the track?
  16. Definitely!!!Get it swapped, why should someone else get the benefit.
  17. Was reading a thread about this the other day and think it was down to the engine managment on obd2 being a lot better than the obd1.
  18. Have you still got the alloys off your car for sale Zonda? or have you sold them.
  19. If its the same as a mk2 golf, there is a tool you need. Its a socket with half of the side removed so you can get an allen key onto the strut to stop it turning to undo the nut. You can buy them from VW I think.I made one.
  20. A couple of very rare bargains!
  21. Thought the polished ones were just the original intake without the cover on!
  22. Been to Kosovo, but not Kos. But as said above, don't expect too much from the plumbing. Just like Turkey really %-6
  23. Is the copper wire going from the big round disk type thing into the air intake or into the engine rocker cover, just out of interest mate?
  24. When you say carb housing, do you mean the throttle body? When I cleaned my throttle body out, there was a small amount of oil(small enough to clean with some kitchen roll) on the plastic part of the air intake, but seeing as the breather from the rocker cover goes into the air intake' think thats always gonna happen, depends on how much oil were talking about.
  25. Know exactly where you mean! Get yourself down to fords with the above part number and you'll be sorted. Cheap as pumpkin pie! or should that be chips.
