    i had g max kit on the old vr, on for 2 years and the fronts were knackered. possibly due to the heavy lump, but the ride was good overall.(obviousely before they were knackered)

    yep i would say that means a new starter motor,my old car did the same,burnt out i had loads of smoke as my ignition barrel was continually causing the starter motor to turn. !sad

    i would say it is overpriced, but you what people are like they always think their posessions are worth more than they actually are! i would try and find one that already has uprated suspension and uprated zaust system as its quite expensive to do. you should be able to get a sub 100K 3dr black highline with the uprated bits for around £4500, worth it for leather and air con.

    fortunately i can rule out suspension, had new coilies fitted with new top mounts

    when i pull away i can hear a creaking coming from the front end, not real load but noticable. any thoughts?

    hi all, my calipers are looking more than scruffy,is painting the brake calipers with 'hammerite' ok? or are you supposed to use special paint? wil hammerite be heat resistant enough? cheers

    yeah all depends how low you wanna go as to the rubbing, 35 is a good offest as it will pull the wheel out a bit, check also the calipers don't catch i had to have mine ground down so the rim would clear them

    if you have no oil and coolant mixing i'd say it wasn't a head problem, sounds more like a pipe has perished or a sael within a housing (like thermostat housing or similar)has perished

    if you want that style, how about replica 'Alpina' wheels, fraction of the cost of new unless you can get orriginals 2nd hand, lovely wheel

    i got highsports for £320 from venom, they can be a little bouncy on the motorway but on the whole they are a good ride quality

    chipping an obd2 is pointless you will get no power gain, spend the money elsewhere, for the same money you could take your other half to paris

    i went with elephant, £380 fully comp. i'm 34 live in herts, the car is parked on the road. full no claims.car insured for 5k but it went up when the suspension was dropped also goes up for any engine modding or wheels !mistrust

    i had a load of steam come from my car at the rr day, turned out a clip on a coolant hose had come loose, have you checked all the clips?

    well, chose the wheels DZ1's, backs went on ok, fronts were rubbing on calipers and also needed spacers, then after they had ground the calipers i decided i didn't like them anymore !amazed so i didn't get them!!! but at least the calipers are done if i get an issue with a set i DO like lol so i'm still looking for 'the' set

    sorry this is off thread stockers No dubsingh i sold it needed a 5 door' date=' so my highline was the next on the list! some pics of my rallye in the gallery, i got 5k for it 8) my highline i got for 3k so what a result i still have a debadged rallye grille in my garage though, needs painting and a little bit of filler on a slat where the badge was removed, know anyone who needs one?     might sound silly, but this happened on my dads beemer and it turned out that a plastic bag had got stuck on the exhaust pipe and was melting, real horrible smell.
