definately done by them, the whole of the front of the car was 'brown',i've been down again and the bloke suggested 'giving it a good rub with a shammy' do halfrauds do 'clay bars'?

hi all, i went to 'a wheel shop' 2 days ago, they angle grinded some of the excess metal from my front calipers to get more clearance for some rims. it was derizzly rain on the way home and dark, i saw in the morning the metal dust from the grinding was all over the front wings and as it was dust it had turned to rust. i washed the car but i can still feel a gritty residue on the wings,how can i get rid of it? i'm a little worried about polishing it as i fear it will lift off ,get caught in the cloth and turn the cloth into sand paper any thoughts? cheers adam

cheers guys, she's mostly doing the motorway run (st albans to m.keynes) she loves driving my vr but she isn't a real petrol head so won't be thrashing or racing peeps she keeps on about an automatic cos of the 'sheer weight of traffic' on the m1/A1, which is why she's thinking beemer. but as some peeps have said the r32 seems to be holding its price and i think it will always be a sought after car, so will be better value. i think when we test drive the r32 at the weekend she will choose it, but i'll let you know

mmmmm....i keep saying r32, the beemer is nice but there are so many around they don't look very special. but you know what its like, all her colleages drive beemers and mercs, peer preasure lol i reckon i can get her (and me from time to time) into an r32

without any vw bias which is the best? bmw 330i golf r32 (not the new one) audi s3 all around an 02 plate

205's do fill the arch more, but you can go lower on 195's if you go for a 7 1/2" or 8" rim

how much difference in traction and grip do you get if you go for 195 in stead of 205? is it noticable?

perfect choice i think, you'll get a lovely stretch on them. i don't know how much difference in traction you get between 195 and 205 :| have you made a choice on which rims?

lol very good point oh well at least it sounds pretty similar to my vr6 and their both v6 yeah but the uprated set-ups that most have on this site must be fairly similar to the improvements they made in the mk4 and mk5? ?! ?! ?!

yeah the premium goes up for an induction, mine also went up for having the car lowered! also if you change the wheels or if you have it chipped, the list goes on and on !sad re rolling road tune, no not chipping just get it fine tuned
