    looks like a plan car may be getting reshelled anyway as mine is a bit bent and rusty may just rebuild the engine and turbo it at the same time

    well finally ordered powerflex bushes as my car has eaten a front wishbone bush in 6k miles. how hard are they to fit??? is there any sort of guide anywhere?? if not il make one for the forum with pics as i go along.

    Once it started it seemed ok. may try cleaning the MAF crank sensor and cam shaft sensor once i get home garage have it at the minute and are going to give it a vag com which should hopefully show up anf faults!! the car was fine under load although the odd speradic missfire at times.

    last week my car refused to start so i locked the car and opened it a few times and it started. at the weekend it would only turn over and not fire. Today the AA came got it to start but when i held the throttle slightly in at the same position the revs rised and fell and it backfired each time. Believe it may be a cam shaft sensor as i could here the fuel pump relay cutting in and out which was causing the car to rev and backfire. Car is now at an auto electrician who is going to vag com the car see what the crack is and hopefully fix it. anybody else had similar problems??

    people must be advised that under perfect conditions 75shot is 75bhp but in the real world it will give u more like 55-60 at the most. i seriously fancy it though might go direct and tap the ports into the inlet manifold!!

    back in june i fitted 2 new wishbones to my car 6 months later and 5k one of the bushes is away again. my car has eibach springs and stiff koni shocks so the car takes a fair beating on my crap local roads is this normal??? i was wondering do proflex bushes replace wishbone bushes?? could this have been caused by the wishbone bushes being overtightened when they were fitted??

    some had a fault with the engines and needed recalled so worth finding out what the fault was and if it's been corrected

    yes mate iv seen pics of the EIP R32 before fcukin mental machine like. might be worth me reshelling my car before i do anything cos we didn't do the best of jobs welding on the new chassis leg. has a golf mk3 shell the same amount of space around it as the corrado bay??

    well my gearbox already crunches into 3rd on full throttle gear changes as it is so may just get it rebuilt when i go the turbo route. or wait for it to break first how expensive is it to go 4wd??

    PMSL boys quality u can also get vf engine mounts i bought my front one for £135 last year ultra stiff but could do with the gearbox mount aswell!!

    sorry thought it might be a track weapon. how is the standard gearbox going to take 3-400bhp??

    a presume your building the car to be road legal what size of exhaust will u be using and from where? also what cat are u going to use come MOT time??

    liking the look of this thread. im not realy a mechanic but have a technical background do believe i would be able to carry the fitment of a turbo myself??

    i never let it go lower than a half tank unless i am skint then i keep it above a quarter but never into the red thats a shooting offence

    u will also find if u do soak it properly it will expand slightly so that when it dries it will go tighter so all good!!

    im not a million miles away from that and to think the car had 78k on it last june going to get a pic of mine when it turns 100k aswell my timing chains need done now
