It does actually go in it's just tighter than normal does not crunch and does not whine and has not been leaking any gearbox oil. im going to change the gearbox oil as a precaution just to make sure. Im guessing it is the linkage but am unsure as to what to adjust can anybody help please???

  13. no it was by-passed a while ago as it was causing so much bother. thought it might be the key but if u use the wrong key with no chip it starts and then cuts out. not a clue good chance it is an ecu which realy aint good news as it will be a job for the stealers
  14. right new development car has now got no bad earths although now. the fuel pump never comes on and there is no spark at all. please help somebody

  16. cheers mate i would appreciate that. that code will be up because i killed the battery dead trying to fix different cars and start it all in vain
  17. came up with code 668???????? when i turn the ignition on the car does not even prime and a bad earth on all the sensors connected to the ECU. where is the ECU earth connected to?? now that i have cleared the fault code none have re-appeared. also when i checked the coil pack it is giving a reading if 2200 ohms and it should be between 2400-2600 according to the book i have. car has now been broken for 2 weeks and i have made my mind up to sell it once it goes due to persistant problems
  18. had a problem with my car only working sometimes. It been diognosed as a bad earth so iv done my best 2 do the ones i can find these being 5 connected at 2 points under the battery and 2 connected to a bracket raight of the throttle body as u look at the engine. has anybody else had the same problem?? anybody have a diagram for where all the earths are as i have no multimeter to check if my cleaning tightening atc has been to any avail.
  19. well done mate looks good hope u have good engine mounts!!! nightmare to fit according to PVW and yes replace the gaskets, there would be nothing worse than fitting the 6-2-1 then finding the gasket is leaking after and have to take off the whole lot again would their?

  23. well your best to soak the wrap as i was advised by one of my mates who works at AWD. i then wrapped it used jubilee clips and some sort of wire my mate advised as he says the jubilee clips can come loose.u need at least 50% wrap and 50 meters is loads. do one leg at a time. just guess then measure it do a leg and if it was not enough cut more next time or visa versa i then never got round to fitting it so i sold it.
