  1. Give Dangerous Bri a shout, he's got the headlining off his Corrado and is planning to die it black. I was thinking about doing mine too, but I'd probably buy some black (or even purple, though it might be a bit too much) material off eBay and get the adhesive required and stick it on that way. Apparently the brush on glue is far better than the spray on. Only thing stopping me is the fact that I can't be arsed.
  2. You'd probably be better of getting a female in the passenger seat, though the charger will probably be cheaper in the long run...
  3. I got it, give him a good pasting, take pictures and post them up for us all to see
  4. That is disturbing, he's wearing a Rangers strip, that just gives me the creeps.
  5. That'll mean you don't have valid car insurance until July then. I do hope you're not planning on driving your car on public roads until then?
  6. Any chance of junking this mess of a thread? It's 40-odd pages of absolutely nothing, and it makes the new posts since last visit function impossible to use during the day. I honestly can't think of one reason why it's necessary. It's also unnecessary to have a link for each individual post in the new posts since last visit function, just a link to the thread should suffice. If there's been 5 new posts in a thread someone wants to read, they're going to click on the first one and read all 5 replies anyway. It would make the site far far easier to navigate.
  7. Your local garage is speaking out of his arse. He tells you Konigsports are too harsh, then tells you to buy AK's? That's like saying don't move to London, it's a bit rough, move to Baghdad instead.
  8. To confuse matters, I've got a 96 N plate that is OBD2.
  9. What? How can your car "perform" if it's not actually moving?
  10. Keep the number plate where it should be, just shorten the recess if you have a short plate, that's what I'm doing when my car goes into the bodyshop later this month, along with getting the grooves filled and smoothed. There's no easy way of getting the indicators into the headlights so I'm not going to bother smoothing over the fog/indicator areas, plus if you ever break down, I'm guessing you won't have access to your tow eye.
  11. I bought a set of non-crystal M3 style rear lights from them for my Mk2, they came with grey plastic surrounds. Who the hell wants rear lights with grey around them? Looked bloody stupid too.
  12. Seems a lot for a bent bit of pipe?
  13. I had a Mk2 GTi 16v, it was a bit of a nail but it went like the clappers.
  14. Mine sits quite low, but I'm hoping the 195 tyres will solve any problems. If not, it's going into the bodyshop to get painted next month so I'll just get the guy to bash the arches in with a big hammer
  15. Good man, GnR rock, Def Leppard don't. Duff is a top boy.
  16. Yes, Highlines do have black pillars, but the visors aren't black.
  17. Oine colour I absolutely love to death is Ginster Yellow, I wish we got that over here
  18. Highlines don't have block roof lining, it's bog standard grey like the rest, with matching visors.
  19. Also, I'm pretty sure that all VR6 visors are that colour.
  20. Oh FFS, I've got exactly the same sitting here waiting to go on I was hoping I wouldn't need arches rolled so I went for 195 tyres. My ones have gold centres, I think that'll work well with the purple.
  21. Mine does that, nad has done ever since I accidentally pressed the down button when getting into the car when the window was covered in losts of bits of lumpy ice. My mechanic mate reckons I need a new window regulator.
  22. They are polished then lacquered as standard. To get a mirror polish, you need to strip the lacquer off, and get prepared to use a hell of a lot of elbowgrease. Best leaving them unlacquered for a better finish.
