    I had Green Stuff on my Mk2 Valver, one day the front braking felt a bit off, so I whipped off the front wheels to investigate, pulled back the passenger side caliper and the pads fell out in pieces, and the other side wasn't much better. I'd stick to something tried and tested like Mintex or Pagid. I've got Black Diamonds at the moment, they're ok, but nothing spectacular.

    Er, you did: I don't see why the 2 have to be mutually exclusive. There's plenty of scope for both. I'm not really interested in sitting in a field all day, but at the same time, thrashing my car round a track doesn't appeal to me much either, that's not what my car was built for.

    Guy on here, Coullstar sold a P reg black 5 door VR6 Highline with 55k on the clock and I don't think he got £3k for it. You'll be very lucky to get anything over £3500 on a very good day unless you get very lucky.

    TBH, i'm not going to make a fuss over cars I have absolutely no interest in whatsoever. There's far too many people who play the "blinkered" card just because people who are into VW's don't really care about most other brands. It's pretty much like labelling someone a racist for not liking rap music. People like different things, it's really that simple.

    I was at the first one in Aberdeen 2 years ago, Eastside VW had a stand indoors, it was full of chavs though. When your stand is next to the "Orion Register" then you know you're not in the right place.

    Brake pads are like tyres, everyone has their own brand they swear by. Personally, I'd rather have brake pads made out of mouldy cheese than put EBC Greenstuff pads anywhere near my car, I don't fancy being killed when they decide to disintegrate again.

    Aye, once I added up all the bits I wanted done to my car, the only bit of the car left was the roof more or less, so I got them to do the whole thing.
