  1. The plastic sill covers are Highline parts.
  2. It shouldn't make a difference, as long as the airbag warning light doesn't come on, you'll be fine. I'm sure your average MOT person won't know the full factory spec of every car he tests anyway.
  3. Your regulator is buggered. You need a new one. As do I, but people want silly money for second hand ones.
  4. If they don't last long it'll only be because Toyo are notorious for wearing quickly. I've got 195 width tyres on my 7.5" wide 17's and I don't envisage any problems.
  5. He's done a brilliant job of the bumpers. The vents aren't in properly in the last pic, so they'll fit much better when they are:
  6. You'll need to buy a resistor to plug into the airbag socket behind the dash. There's a proper VW part for this, not sure of the part number, I got it off eBay for 50p although I think Awesome GTi stock them for a couple of quid.
  7. Next set of update pictures, the front bumper is going to look ace
  8. Full respray, grooves in both bumpers, ABT splitter and side skirts filled and smoothed, bumper intake vents smoothed in and colour coded, Polo door handles colour coded, black plastic bit under rear bumper colour coded and a few other general tidying up bits. The arches are being binned too seeing as they shouldn't have been retro-fitted in the first place.
  9. I'll post more pictures during each stage of progress hopefully.
  10. Forget about VR's, my old Valver used to chew up and spit out VTS' for fun. Awful cars with absolutely no redeeming features, and if anyone even considers parting with money for one, I consider their opinions on cars, worthless.

    VR6 Advert?

I remember the one for the Mk3 GTi with the Young At Heart by the Bluebells song.
  12. PM "BAZC" on here, he'll beat any price you'll get from anywhere else I'd imagine.
  13. Correct wattage/volts? It's a bloody tail light bulb. If it fits, it'll work. It's really that simple.
  14. Are there any available for OBD2 engines? I need a new TB anyway so I'd be as well upgrading while I have my wallet open.
  15. I'd only put Hella lights on my car, by far the best quality.
  16. Hence why females should stick to shopping for shoes and such like.
  17. Are you talking about a bulb? If so, take bulb out, walk into Halfords, pick up bulb the same size, take to counter, hand over £2, put on car, light now works, job done. If you go to your local dealer with a part code for a lightbulb, they'll think you're an idiot.
  18. Surely improved thottle response is far more important than a couple of extra bhp on a rolling road?
  19. I average around 25mpg if I drive economically around town. Typically you'll see 20-25 if you have a heavy right foot.
  20. Any garage should be able to fit them easily, they're no harder to fit than normal shock absorbers, it's a good idea to fit new top mounts at the same time though seeing as they cost so little. You'll need to get your wheels aligned afterwards, but you're not going to do any harm waiting a couple of weeks to get it done. Coilovers sound daunting, but it's basically the same procedure as fitting normal suspension.
  21. Mk5 without a doubt, far more classy and refined.
