  1. They do, but I think it's only competition spec ones they have for Pagid: http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/search5.asp?make=VW&model=GOLF&year=1996&ProdGroup=Brakes&ProdSubGroup=Pads&ProdType=Front&ProdSubType=Uprated
  2. http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk I always find them to be very good on prices, good company to deal with too.
  3. Tornado Red is an awesome colour, I've had 3 TR Golfs. In terms of VR6's, I don't like white or that Indian Red colour. Mulberry is obviously the best, although I think I prefer the Blackberry colour you get on Corrado VR6's.
  4. It does work properly, instead of having a list of individual posts (or most often a list of "word association") it has a list of threads which have new posts which I 100% prefer. The only minor grip i have is that clicking on the link takes you to the end of the post instead of the first new post but it's definitely a huge improvement
  5. With 20mm adaptors, you'll be running ET21, which is what I'll be running with my new wheels on so I hope they bloody hell fit. Shouldn't be a big problem though, but getting the adaptors custom made might be.
  6. Vince at Stealth probably knows more about the VR6 engine than anyone on here.
  7. I was £56 fitted for a budget tyre in that size a few weeks ago after I got a puncture on my standard VR6 rims I use over winter. I've got Toyo on the front, they're crap.
  8. I have that same problem, although when I let my mechanic mate have a look, he advised me that I needed a new window regulator. Only happened after I accidentally pressed the window down button as I got into the car when it was covered in lumpy ice.
  9. Says Synta in big writing, it's a silver bottle, the VW dealer stocks it, and it says "synthetic blend" (ie. not fully synthetic). What more can you possibly ask for?
  10. I'd go with the 195's personally. I've got 205's on my 6.5" wide winter wheels and they're far too wide for the rim. I had 205's on my 7.5" wide TT Comps and they sat pretty much flush with the rim. Bought a new set of wheels 7.5" wide, I'm putting 195's on them.
  11. Out of those, I'd go for the BK's. I wouldn't touch Spax suspension, it's not that great...
  12. HIC or Brentacre would be your best bet.
  13. It doesn't say that on their site, I was merely providing contact details.
  14. Seen this on E38. W&K Precision Engineers will do them for £150 including bolts: http://www.wkprecision.co.uk
  15. You need to get them custom made by an engineering place.
  16. You didn't see a great big stone on the road ahead of you?
  17. If he does a good job then it's cheap.

    RAC Farce

At least being a Goth, you'll already be miserable anyway so no harm done
  19. My car had a full gearbox rebuild by the VW dealer in Canterbury in August 2004 a few months before I bought it costing £1400. Unfortunately, one of the new bearings decided it had had enough less than a year later, which caused the box to implode on my way home up the A90. I bought a replacement one from a breaker, had to take a gamble on it being in good condition, and to be honest, it wasn't in as good condition as I'd hoped for but I was able to use enough parts off the fubared box (most of the bits were under a year old) to make one complete box in good condition.
