  1. Been saving up since last year for this. And finally got the funs togther in one place. I'll be getting some discount as i konw the parts manager, so it's not all that bad. Was going to have the chains done at stealth or by killokilla, but if something was to go wrong later down the line, it would become to much of mission to get the car back to them. As they are bit of distance away for me.
  2. Don't all shout out at once. It's going to the dealers
  3. Right the time has come to have the chains done just for a peice of mind and to get rid of that awful rattle. While it's at the garage it's also getting few extra bits done at the same time. Timing Chains Clutch 40K service Front Wishbones and Balljoints and 4 wheel allignment Hope all goes well should get the car back for friday evening.
  4. Yeah thanks for that. I don't think have to have it connected for the navigation to work anyway, so hopefully it should be all fine.
  5. I've just bought me self Alpine Navi, and looking at the wiring instructions. It say's i have to wire one of the wires to the vehicle speed sensor. Does anyone know if the wiring loom for the stereo has one fitted already. And if not is there anything else i can do.
  6. It might be the plastic clip on the window regulator that broke off. it lets the window go down but not back up. Theres a cheap fix for it using an electrical butt connector and a couple of cable ties. Have a look this article if is. http://www.pocketrocket.ca/mk3_window_regulator.html
  7. Thats ushally caused by alloy wheel cleaner, or the car's been stood for a while in the wet
  8. Cheers mate. I would have taken a set off you at UD but won't be going, as the wife has other plans for that weekend, and i'm desperate for some mats. Will take the part number to the dealers to see what they caan make of it. Other wise i'll send you a PM for a mail order.
  9. any chance of a part number Rich.
  10. I'll love to drive a lory for a laugh. Job's not bad just bit quiet at times. But i get paid to surf the net all day long which isn't bad. A career i wouldn't mind trying is detailing cars for the rich, and if i was to be laid off at work it's something i might try.
  11. It's common failt on the Punto for the wiper linkage to fall apart. One way to fix it on the cheap is to drill a hole where the linkage arm joins and put split pin in there. This has worked fine for a few punto owners. Don't ask how i know.
  12. Oh i see. You souldn't need to disturb the ABS ring if you are just chaning the bearing. But you will have to take the rear disc off to change the bearing.
  13. The ABS rings will be on the back of the old discs. Looks like a cog type thing. But as Nick said you would be better of buying new ones and putting them on the new discs. The bearings have 2 races one outer and an inner one, it's just a case of tapping them into the new discs. It will be all self explanatory when you start the work.
  14. Never changed one my self before, but might a good time to go for an uprated one.
  15. Does anyone know if this is the one with a bottom metal part. I have asked the seller but he hsan't got back to me as of yet.
  16. ^^^ This one get my vote^^^^^^ Or the green one by lowlife, sorry got no pics of it.
  17. Looks like its time for a new gear box mount
  18. Yeah see if you can get the old parts from the garage, so we can all see what the wear is like on both your cars.
  19. It should start to run soon as you turn the key to start the engine. And carry on runnig after you switch the car off, regardless if the engine temp is hot or not.
  20. Quality. Brought back some memories there
  21. I think he's saying that it's got a highline interior, but thats about. As from that picture that is no way a highline.
  22. Hasn't been deleted just moved to a new location on the forum. Have a look in the premium section / knowledge vault / engine
  23. I haven't had mine done yet, but i am contemplating whether to do them or not in the next mounth or 2.
