  1. I've got a 1997 P reg VR6 with 51K on the clock and FVAGSH and it's a superb runner. Recently I've been finding a significant amount of water under the boot liner carpet and under the spare wheel. I've checked the drainage gullys down from the sunroof and both drainage channels are clear ( washing line cord was good to shove down there to do this ). Has anybody got any idea where i should start? How about new rear light seals and new boot rubber seal surround?.? Anything else worth trying? HELP !
  2. Well as usual, nobody at the dealership wanted to know without wanting to sting me £90 plus vat per hour to take a look - honestly - would it kill them to take a quick look for a frequent and loyal customer! The pump in the boot is making it's usual noise but I'm wondering if it's suction ability has deminished so much that it's not working properly. Does anybody know whether, if I take the air line off the pump, whether I should be able to feel it sucking air when it's activated, or whether it blows air? It seems to be doing neither.
  3. Cheers binliner - much appreciated. Any idea where I might find a fusebox layout diagram on the web for the Mk3 vr6?...
  4. ..is where exactly?? I'm trying to cure a central locking problem and it's the first time I've needed to check and see if it's a fuse that's at fault. See the ICE/Electrical thread for my posting there - central locking has packed up when using the remote central lock/unlock - Have to resort to using the key now. ..this worked fine before Drift Bridge Garage VW serviced my car this weekend !! ;-( ;-(
  5. Does anybody else concur with my theory that garages deliberately break something when you take your car in for a service?(!) Since getting my VR6 back from it's annual service, the central locking now doesn't do a thing when alarming the car. The door locks don't actuate and I have to resort to using the key to open both passenger and driver doors. Does anybody know where i'd check the fuse for this to see if it's easily remedied?
