    Try putting about a inch worth of shampoo in the bottle and filling it with hot (not boiling) water. works really well. When i use this method the rinse bucket is almost clear as the shampoo bucket.

    Check the oil level first, and also change the oil to semi synthetic as it will be a bit better for the engine. And before you ask Synta silver is highly recommended on here and is available from the dealers and GSF. LOL

    Have you checked the oil level. It's not been overfilled and what engine oil are you using

    I think i might have topped it up a bit to much with oil the night before. As i checked the oil before setting off to work this morning and it slightly over the max mark. :$ Will keep on eye on it and see how it goes

    Right drove home from work, let the engine warm up as ushall, but then ragged the arse of it like stole it. And not even hint of smoke of any type. I usually just drive about at cruising speed, could it be that i don't drive it hard often and its just build of carbon, and that with BP ultimate and driving hard its just clearing a load of shit out. I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

    Motorway journey seems fine driving at steady at normal speeds. As for the fuel i did fill up with BP Ultimate usually just put in regular unleaded

    I've alrady hda the chains and clutch done back in March, but you deffinatley think it's the rings. Because thiers no mayo on the oil cap and and once you've booted it a couple of times it seems to stop.

    No not mapped, just a standard engine with cat back S/S exhaust. Just need to now if its the valve seals or the piston rings.

    Went to the Huddersfield meet yesterday, and on the way home I noticed some black smoke coming out from the exhaust when giving it some gas. Must have lasted a couple minutes and then it was clear, bit like what diesels cars do when they put there foot down. And when I was coming to work this morning I noticed blue smoke from the exhaust , when i was coming down a hill and putting on the gas at the bottom of the hill. I thought this might just be overrun, but when I put the clutch in and stepped on the gas pedal it was doing it again. Did this a couple of times but then stopped, tried it few t

    Which side of the engine is coming from, as it sounds like the water pump pulley or the tensioner pulley

    I started a thread about it when i had mine done, see if you can search for it. But just a few pointers if you can't. Make sure you look at the shaded bit at the bottom of the windscreen is wide enough to cover the holes on the dashboard. And it might be good time have one fitted with green shaded top part.

    How do I go about removing the wiring loom for the rear door where it goes into the b pillar. It seems I have got a few broken wires that I need to fix, so the rear window starts working again. And I want to take the loom off completely so I can do a proper job.

    Mine has the same marks on the rubbing strip on the door, and so do a lot of mk3's. Just take a look at the shows most of them have got these marks. Don't know what its caused by, probably the hinge is weak.
