Off the top of my head Warren, they are 5x100 to 5x112. With the adaptors my 8x17 RH's are ET35, but this changes depending on the widths obviously! Hope that helps, Simon
Well done mate, glad to see the cars staying with the club, although I know Vince will be gutted, as I am as have worked on the car myself, and even went with Vince to look at it. Simon
Blimey, thats a shock mate, thats one of my favourite Mk2's! Has someone in the club/scene got it? How much did you let it go for in the end? Have heard great things about the Mk5 and am seriosuly tempted by one myself to be honest if I get a good offer on the VR! Simon.
There are mods required to fit them to a Later model! Mines one of the last to be produced (97/98) and I had to bend the inner clip to get them to work 100% EVERYTIME! They seem to work ok, but they have the tendancy to lock up from time to time and this can lead to having to break the doorcard in extreme circumstances to get the door open! BE WARNED!
Check out Mangolds Highline in the For Sale section mate, having seen the car a few times at shows that really is a GEM of a Highline for very little cash!
I've got them on my RH's, made to order. Yes there are damn tough, just ask Justin (Binliner) after he tried to smash mine on a curb a few days after i had them fitted! Rims 1 - Curbs 0 Simon.
Happened to me in broad daylight at lunchtime about 2 years ago in my VR. Luckily they didn't manage to get my car off me, but did mange to damage one of my rims, headlight and wing mirror in the process! You wouldn't believe how cautious I've been since!
Thought I'd mentioned it to you before mate when you first got the car, it can cause hell with the Synchro system running different size tyres on different axles! Plus always better with a stretch, not like you need wide tyres for grip with all 4 wheels powering you! Simon
As far as I know mate, ALL highlines should have Miulberry (purple) leather. Sounds like yours has had a very nice re-trim. The numbers on the sticker in the rear boot well can be converted by VW to find out what spec it was ordered in, might be worth giving them a shout? Simon
