  1. Might be the very nice cold weather were having at the mo. I've known my BHP differ by up to 20bhp, just cos of the ambient conditions! (and yes that was on the same rolling road, just different times of the year!) Simon
  2. Got rid of mine too, as long as you keep you car reasonably clean and set your wing mirrors up well it causes me no problems on my Mk2 GTI or my VR. Simon.
  3. MGB GT in Teal Blue, with yellow velour interior for me! Had an Oselli tuned 1800 with overdrive and bigger SU carbs in it. Bought when I was 16 and spent a few years and lots of hard earned
  4. Have seen a few threads lately on here about them, and so thought it was best to dig out the reciepts to clarify the part numbers etc... from when I got mine! VW used to do the arm and blade as one part number for just
  5. Lower the ET, the further the wheels will stick out. Depending on the width of the rims you may have a problem clearing some suspension set ups with an ET 48. With a spacer your wheels would become ET38. Simon.
  6. Spent 3 hours cleaning mine last night (as not had a chance since E38 show!) and then went to No-Rice, and realised why I love the VR so much! Winter Blues are gone! Simon
  7. Very very nice Mark, no get it on the deck!
  8. Keep up the good work. Make sure you keep us updated of the progress...... Simon.
  9. Know what you mean mate, have felt this for a few weeks myself now. In fact I always feel like this about this time every year! I'm putting it down to the show season being over and the crap weather! Simon.
  10. Blimey, the ultimate wheel to show off your chromed calipers! Don't let Justin see em! ;o) Simon.
  11. Hello mate, the resistor is located under the drivers side front wheel arch. Disconnect it and then the side lights will only be your angel eyes (presume this is what your trying to achieve?) As for making the main lights both come on at the same time, they will both operate at the same time of you have your headlights on and pull the stalk to flash the main beam, but if you click the main beam on the head lights go off (power saving) so it must just be a case of working out how to remove the powersaving feature. Hope this helps, Simon.
  12. Very nice John, those wheels make all the difference!
  13. Cheers for all the positive feedback, peeps. Simon.
  14. Sorry Picturetrail links had changed, all sorted now, Can you see them? Simon
  15. Bottom one for me, as thats exactly how mines been smoothed!
  16. Very nice rims mate, I know the RH ZW1's come complete with adaptors to fit the specified car. Not sure about the ZW2's though as I know they weren't available in a VW fitment a few years back when I bought my ZW1's, as they were aimed purely for Merc fitment. Try giving Paul a ring at Montys Tyre and Wheel as he was very helpful when I was importing my RH's before. Think he has a contact over there at RH direct. 01753 440006/7. tell him Simon with the Purlple VR on RH's sent ya! Simon.
  17. To be honest mate, I don't like them with the arches on, particularly on the Highline version. They make the car look wider and cluttered, and it can tend to make the wheels look lost in the arches. Obviously this is just my opinion, and at the end of the day its your car now, and you have an idea of what you want it too look like! It'd be boring if we all thought the same! As for the rust/protection issues, Vince(Mangold) is a meticulous cleaner of cars and I know for a fact that VR has had several cans of waxoil coated all over it! So that shouldn't be a problem! Simon.
  18. Having driven both a shricked VR (my Own) and an AMD tuned 4 motion, I can definately say my VR is quicker. The 4 motion is so much more refined though, and does feel effortlessly quick and smooth in comparison. I also have some on board footage of just how much quicker my VR is compared to a tuned 4 motion, all taken on a private road of course ;o)
  19. Thats one PHAT Ass , looks awesome mate, needs decking a bit more though IMO! Simon.
