  1. I know the easy way to set the throttle body on ob11 is to open the drivers door and leave open put the key in and turn on but don't start it should take from 20 to 30 seconds and you should hear a clunk when it has finished seting it up. Not sure if it the same for ob1.
  2. It's as easy as changing a bulb Jack up the car take off the wheel use a 7mm(I think) allen key that holds the sensor in unplug the cable and thats about it. Problems you could have are,the sensor siezed in the hub but that is about it,when you fit the new sensor apply a little copperslip(same stuff you put on the back of brake pads)
  3. Thanks guys.I was going to do them tomorow be just remembered Grand prix is on ,oh well Monday it is then .
  4. I am going to replace the front struts and wishbones,My question is do I need special tools to do undo the strut nuts ( I have coil spring tool) Cheers. Ian
  5. Also be very gentle, after reading a post about a dirty maf I decided to take mine off and clean it,I got some contact cleaner and a cotton bud, rubbed it on the vain and snapped the bloody thing off.
  6. Yes that's the right one for your car,if it is the un-regestered version there are a few things it will not do, like auto scan and stuff but nothing you can't do manualy.
  7. It all depends on what Vag com cable you have, I think the lastest version you can use with a copy lead is 4.091 if you have a proper version with dongle you can use 5.04.
  8. Just as a matter of intrest how do you ajust the camber,I had the tracking done but it still pulls to the left, I have just brought new lower wishbones in case it has been kerbed and will fit them along with new struts,I know I will have to have the tracking done again but will they be able to do the camber if needed.(Sorry not my thread but on the same lines).
  9. I have vag com so will run it and see , the only trouble is i don't what I should be looking for, easyest way i supose is to post the results on here !lol
  10. I done a full service about 7 months ago and anything that could be re-newed was.
  11. Dose anyone use these leads and are they any good http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/K1-HT-IGNITION-LEADS-FOR-VW-GOLF-VENTO-2-8-VR6_W0QQitemZ8021611107QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I put new normal leads on a while ago but when I accelerate hard it feels like a weak spark lack of fuel sort of holding back thingy %-6 and it is realy begining to pi#s me off,and I was hoping that better leads would help.
  12. Have you taken the bulbs out to see if they go faster because I think you will find it is only the front or rears will do that and not side.
  13. Funny how what you say can come back and bite you, I was doing a singing gig in Bath tonight and forgot my work shoes and Keyboard stand,I left the wife to set up the gear and hacked it back to Bristol and my oil temp went up to 114, I have never seen it go that high before, driving home tonight speed limit speeds it only got to 87.
  14. A good quality oil can help this, I was using cheap oil and I used to get the same problem I then did an oil and filter change using good quality oil and the oil temp is running cooler.
