    Ive found Meguiars gold class paste very good but it can be a bit of a mission to remove..........other than that the new tech wax by meguiars is very good, easy to apply and remove........just used some today with great results! ps.. I don?t work for Meguiars just like the products [ Edited Sun Sep 12 2004, 06:17PM ]

    When i had to replace the rear's on mine i got gen vw ones £72 each including vat, ive allso had a quote of £59 ish + vat from the g&s...................i know the fronts are supposed to be allot cheaper.........minty replaced the front on his 20vt....they cost about £30 quid!     Not sure but from passed experience loosing water as and a smell inside the car can be an indication of the heater matrix.(does the car steam up inside).....But that looks to me like its coming from the thermostat housing(or area) and poss. running down the side of the head then block....just had a look on mine...............its very hard to see up under there.........can you put your fingers up round it to see if its wet...     Like Matt said any half decent body shop will colour match using the paint code and then chip sticks(if there are variations ) to get the shade just right

    Are you using a thinner oil as this could cause the problem......vr's IMO should run 10-40 semi syn.......any thinner and they piss it out the back!.............other than it could be plain old engine wear i'm afraid
