i cant seem to find any leaks anywhere, when the car is parked up you cant see any coolant leaking or any coolant on the floor, only when driving it looses coolant.

Whats the best way to check for leakes and how can i put the cooling system under presssure

the car is loosing water more quickly now, I filled up the expasion bottle to full and started the car. There was no bubles or water shooting out. The water was very slowly being pushed out of the expansion bottle. There was not that much smoke comming from the exhaust, was a little but could have been due to the cold waether. i have taken some pics, the oil cap got some mayo on it but this may have been because the car was stood for a few days and started from cold. When i drive it a few miles the mayo clears up any ideas if it is the head gasket or not? car drives fine pulls hard and no over

hi my car was loosing water and yesterday the eater pipe which comes from inside the car and connects to the head has a big split in it and water is leaking out fast. on the bulkhead there are 2 pipes its the one furthest away from the driverside. anyone know were i can get one from? or anyone have one for sale? thanks

whats a siff test and is the pressure check a compression test

hi my vr6 has 120k on the clock and has started to loose water, everyday the bottle keeps going down. If i leave it for a week it will go near empty. No over heating no high temp. temp is mostly at 94-98 when fully warm and i have been driving it hard. on short journeys i get the mayo on the oil lid but on long journeys and when driving it hard it does not have any mayo. the oil is cheap stuff which the garage i got it serviced from put in. is the head gasket gone, what other signs can tell if its gone, dont have any wter puddle on floor overnight. thanks

is quntium semi syntetic the right oil to use and is that what vw supply. is there any place i can get it from cheaper than main dealer? thanks

everytime i drive from cold for a short journey it leaves the mayo type stuff on the oil cap lid, does not use oil or water. water does not have oil in it either. When you drive it hard for longer journeys there is no mayo. how can i tell if the head gasket is gone, there aint no over heating either? thanks

oil temp was low as the car was just started, but after a while it got to half.
