Apparently it's an early supersprint and they had 2 bolts I've got the adapter plate on a cat pipe at work going to take a bit of 'persuasion' to get it off I think! Is yours supersprint?

I think your words when I started it up on Sunday were "fucking hell does it quieten down when it warms up" lol, but I'm gonna fit it anyway! The decat will make yours a bit louder I reckon. Does everyone heat wrap these? Mines been done but it could probably do with being redone I think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh no don't tell me it'll make it even louder I've got a supersprint manifold ready to fit but it's already a bit loud with that back box I've got on mine! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks mate, will help me right out.
  5. Hi, got my highline centre console but didn't get what I presume is a mounting bracket/spacer that goes between where the original console screws down in the cubby hole/pocket part behind the handbrake, to the bracket on the floor. Does anyone have one to sell? Or could some one take a picture of one with some rough measurements so I know what I'm looking for or could knock something up like it? Thanks for any help in advance Ben.
  6. Basically anywhere that water or moisture can sit, inner rear quarters, doors, behind wings, sills, up chassis legs, pretty much spray it anywhere you can't see and it should help;) And I'd say that wax is wax and there's no better brands, but if it comes in cans with long straws/pipes to apply it with, they'll come in very handy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Exactly what I've been thinking! Realised I'm missing a spacer/bracket from the kit so the previous owners trying to find it,though I'm still thinking about selling it to buy a rotrex set up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Lol I didn't think of that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hopefully the weather holds out! If you bring those beers I could do a scientific test to see if the quality of polishing gets better or worse as more beer gets consumed lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I've finally found one of these!!! It only took 6 months odd! Thanks to Calico for the pointer bought an odd complete light with a smashed lens for £33 inc postage, was a bit beaten up and has a small crack, but polished up well. Also got the brand new offside one a while back so fitted that. So popped the grill off and got the black copy covers off (which I might colour code) and popped the oe hella ones on,much better! Like new! Also won this on the bay at a bargain price recently so jacked the engine up and got it on,can feel the improvement with just the one so will be looking out for the
  11. You wouldn't bend the hub from dropping it off of a jack, id change the wishbone and ball joint if it needs changing anyway then go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I would say a possible bent hub if the shock has already been changed, seen things like this a few times on accident damaged stuff over the years,if that doesn't work you might want to start looking at if the turret is in the right place incase it's had a smash at some time in its life. 17. Definitely, the joys of eBay! Your story sounds very similar to mine, buy it cheap, tidy it up a little bit and just drive it........ Yeah that didn't happen! Full respray, porsche wheels, schrick manifolds, private plates! The list goes on, I've now done so much to it I'm almost scared to drive it lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah rust! Floor pans around the rubber grommets, sills especially around jacking points, bottoms of the front wings, rear wheel arches. Rust seems to be the main killer of mk3's.
  19. Yeah she's alright because she knows if I go anywhere near a tesco's or what ever I come come back with a load of chocolate, cake and beer! And other crap we don't need lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. That's a lot of car for no money! Got anything else planned for it other than sorting out its issues? The rust in the fuel fillers going to be interesting to sort out! Nice S4 by the way;)
  22. That's alright mate, I look forward to swapping a bit of paint for a bit of polishing, I'll get some new polishing heads ready for it!
  23. Thanks mate! Yeah you can't beat a set of recaros! Thought they'd suit the car a bit better than the more normal leather route. Was good to meet bealieboy today and sort his seat out,got chatting so much I forgot to offer you a cuppa mate! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. So got the eisenmann back box fitted today. It's a fair bit louder than the miltek in a nice way........I think! Tx Autosport got it fitting quite nicely but it turned out better to butcher the miltek back box for the bend over the axle and then extend the whole box back by about 3 inches including the hangers so it sat right with the US bumper, bit of a mission but I've not seen any other vr6's or golfs with one of these on (in the uk anyway) so I suppose it's worth it! On the ramp at tx; You can see the extended bit behind the box here; Then it fitted; It hangs a bit low at the moment becau
