    The problem with rough looking or pigeon shit welds is that they'll go rusty fast because of the holes and impurities in them, unlike a nice clean weld.     Got my side repeater delete/ badges on today; Very pleased with them about as oe looking as possible I think Also got the new headlamp surround fitted kindly found and donated / swapped with Bealieboy, I think I now have pretty much a brand new set of Hella quads[emoji4] it's only taken a year!     Its a new old stock there's been a few on eBay recently for about £460 then spotted this the other day for £300 plus postage whist looking for other rebuild bits and thought it'd cost about the same as having one of my other bottom ends cleaned/honed/bored or whatever as it would to buy this plus I won't have to clean or paint it[emoji6] think there's a date on it that says it was made in 2003.

    We've got a welder set up for gas less here, it's for emergencies if we run out of gas, it's a 5 or 6 hundred quid welder so not a right budget one and every time someone has to use it it's a big joke and you usually end up with a plastic sea gull hovering around your head!!     Should be good enough mate, as long as it works ok and doesn't keep getting jammed up or anything, the little gas bottles don't last long,but for gods sake don't try it gas less though I've never known it to work well,it'll just make a mess of it (as in the welds will probably resemble pigeon shit!) and rust!!
