  1. Started stripping the dash last night for the heater matrix Looks like it's going to a long job
  2. Haha that's probably exactly where this will end up going !
  3. Yeh it was one of those snap it up now or it will be gone type moments !
  4. Not sure yet, I think first off get the alarm sorted so the indicators are not on all the time and do the heater matrix that will probably take me a couple of months !! Long term plan would probably be a new exhaust of some sort and a nice set of alloys or at least refurb the bbs's in original silver not really a fan of dark wheels. If I get the first two issues sorted then i will use it until august when the tax and mot are due and see how much money its going to cost. The S4 is a lovely car but I was surprised how nippy the VR is after driving the V8 for the last 16 months, I do like
  5. And finally a couple side by side with my daily.........
  6. Things that need sorting............. There is a fault with the alarm as sometimes it makes the indicators stick on permanently, been told it is probably a sticking relay in the alarm itself. Heater matrix is leaking so need changing. I have the part for this just plucking up courage to do it Then the rust, petrol filler cap, under back light, both rear arches, bottom of front drivers wing, rear drivers side sill.
  7. Here's my thread on my newly acquired VR6 I have had a couple of projects over the last year or so mainly to buy and do up abit and sell on but really wanted something to keep for a year or two and enjoy. Was originally looking at mk2 gti's as I really missed my oak green 16v but then out the blue came this MK3 VR6 ! This VR6 was advertised on clubgti forum at 4pm on Monday 14th april and by 10pm it was in my garage It does need some work but its an honest 3 owner 111k miles car with every bill/service history/tax disc & mot it's ever had in it's life ! All for £350..........
  8. Just bought a mk3 vr as a project needs abit of work but one of the main problems is i think the alarm, when you press unlock on the fob the indictors flash as the car unlocks but every now and then it unlocks the car but the indicators stay lit permanently, i new this when i bought the car and the previous owner said he had changed the indicator relay thinking it was that but now think its to do with the alarm. It did it last night when i put the car in the garage and the indicators stayed lit then at 3am the battery went flat causing the alarm to go off !! Anyone any ideas or how hard wo
