  3. Well my phone seems to be saying that it's vr6 weather on Sunday! I have just realised the mot ran out yesterday though oops, not to much of a problem for me, it's in the diary for Saturday and I'm sure it pass! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Not to sure,I don't want to spend a fortune on it, but I'd like to build it a bit 'future proof' in case I do one day decide to turbo it, or do get hold of a rotrex charger and want to run a bit more boost, anyone got any advice on what I should do?
  6. Not a belt on these mate it's a timing chain which is on the back of the engine, so yes if the engines out it's the time to change it.
  7. Yeah need to pull my finger out and get it sorted! I'm just a bit hesitant about messing with the engine as even though she's done 170+k she still drives beautifully and it'll probably break if I start tampering with it, or changing engines and stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks mate, just needs a bit more under the bonnet now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Finally got some pictures taken of the golf with a proper camera not a phone! This was at Players Show on Sunday; also got some bigger spacer/adaptors to get the wheels sitting a bit better in the arches so I've now got 45mm's on the front and 40mm's on the back and still no rubbing! ;-)
  10. Early! Meant to be there about 8 apparently for the show n shine
  11. It came apart surprisingly easily! This engine stuffs easy lol! As for putting it back together errr..........The hardest bit was the lower timing chain cover because it was on the stand,I couldn't get it out! The boss don't mind got his head up his arse with his pub as usual so probably won't notice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So I got bored at lunch the other day and started unbolting things on my spare engine, it's got piper 264 cams in it , , the rest of the engine seems in pretty good shape according to my co workers as I have no idea about these things! All a bit new to me. Now could do with some advice as to what I should be replacing/uprating when putting this back together? Will be getting the or a supercharger on it at some point, so not going to be going for 500bhp with a turbo conversion or anything like that. Is it worth going for a metal head gasket, arp bolts, or having any head work done? Apart from

  14. Neither did I until it appeared on the bay, just won a set of US door pocket liners now as well, so I'll be spoilt for choice as where to put all of my crap and it not rattling or sliding around! Oh the excitement!! Lol!
  15. Just payed some scene tax on this, £37! Anyone else got one or are they actually rare? £37 to stop my phone sliding around......... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah it's a bit of a joke, the things got wind up windows!! I also own this which is an m sport; But has no m badges stuck anywhere! Because I also hate them with a passion, unless I thought it might make the occasional person giggle! It's a shame I didn't have an rs2 or 4 badge cause I would've stuck that on there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I was thinking something else that begins with shi ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. So me and a couple of blokes I work with all live within 5 minutes of each other and work about 10 miles away 9 of which is quite rough country lanes and have been taking it in turns to drive, but have since got fed up with ruining our cars doing it, (plus the missus keeps moaning cause the inside of our car is a shit tip blah blah blah) . So we have invested in this beauty!!!! A 1.9 tdi boredamatic Audi errrr 80! It was a fetching shade of flat pink and the plan was to leave like this but we immediately felt sorry for the old girl ( and someone t cutted a penis into the bonnet) so I broke t
  20. Not sure if these will help; The only ones I've got with the wings off, what do you need to know? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Very hard to put a price to rust repairs as you never know quite how bad it will be until you start cutting out metal, to do a proper job on a jacking point including the outer sill or section of it I'd think it'd be around the 8 hour mark labour wise plus panels materials etc. I would say to do a proper job (similar to what I did on mine) not just a lash up £300-£400 a side.
