I did mine by hand ,i stripped it down and degresed all the crud and oil off , then used a wire wheel on powerdrill to get rid of all the rust and used brake cleaner and carb cleaner to blast out all the lottle hard to reach areas I used andrew pages engine enamel and a laquer Ill let the pics do the talking

Does anyone actually have any figures of gains from the mk4 gasket , im keen to use one but what are the advantages apart from most people saying about the compression -
Roof gutters will probably crack as the cars forces move the roof slightly so I wouldn't bother and the Ty filler cap just in my opinion is to modern looking and is a bit of a eyesore on the rear quarter

268 cams / valve springs help advice Just a quick question regarding uprated valve springs for 268 cams Basically im wanting to know weather changing the springs is advisable ? Engine is on 115,000 and will hopefully have a rebuilt head on before the cams go in Stealth will be mapping the car after all this work is done and im hoping to maybe rise the rev limiter to 7500 instead of the 7200 its at now , standard as far as im aware Also is it really needed or best for piece of mind , id maybe keep the rev limiter in place if its not going to make much power over and past 7200 rpm Done some rea

Looking good how much did you pay stealth for the head rebuild -
Obd1 throttles can be ported a few mm but obd11 wich yours is cant be bored out. I think mainly because the butterfly cant be removed , im sure i read that they cant be anyway Im also sure that a ported throttle could lose you some torque if im correct but at wot will give you more bhp

I run subaru wheels , used a dremmel and a goblet to very slowly increase the center bore to 57.1 , was easy just take your time or get a shop to do it for you -

Its not like a single item of a car you dont like .... Like stretched tyres , but a whole car modded in a certain way , example being bigger brakes or an upgraded exhaust Each to there own though
