    if the engines from a breakers, take a friend whos in know with engines / vr6s in general to see if theres any suspicious signs, i know that only tells half the story, but. could save you a tad of money in my eyes it would be better to get a new engine though, if its the same model engine youll get it in within a day!

    Well, i may be wrong with this, I havent had too much experience with golfs, mainly in ventos. But i think the golf bonnet is a tad shorter if that makes sense, so a vento one will rest more over the lights, a golf bonnet will still fit though.

    get a vr6 spark plug remover think their about a tenner on ebay, as for the oil on the plugs im not too sure, valves leaking onto the plugs? im sure someone more experienced will come along to help more.. oh and dont just pull out th ht leads, youll break them!! get the plug remover

    Hi guys, Been lurking round here for a while now, and I love this forum! So much so that it inspired me to buy a VR6 and a Vento Over the time I've been on here i have been plodding along with the conversion, doing bits in afternoons and when I can get a free moment. (Plus I'm a lazy git so progress is slow!) I iaim to make this into a track weapon, aiming for around 350-400bhp with most likely a turbo. Although I am on a tight budget, there will be no expense spared, and no corners cut! I bought a engine off a breakers, but I made a silly mistake of buying a OBD1 block to go into a OBD2 car
