  2. Check the rear mounts, they may be on there way out. as for the vibrations up your legs, check the throttle body and cable when someone presses the accelerator? Hope that helps,

  4. i cant remember what its called, something like guzer or gooser or gizer, but its meant for things like that or brake cleaner, just make sure you wipe it fown afterwards..

  7. Thread ressurection!!!! Been mega busy so not had much time for the car Taking the cross member and subframe to powdercoaters to get resprayed as their looking a bit rough! Will post pics up when their done for review.. After much deliberation I managed to get the VR into the bay and flush onto the mounts, took about 5 hours to do 3 bolts! Main problem I have is that my wich pulls the engine at an angle so its near impossible to get it vertically straight, And I have started wiring the loom up for the engine, what a faff that is! While I have been waiting for parts e.t.c. I've been cleaning

  9. Hi guys, Very soon I'm going to start doing the wiring the on my vento, I got the loom with the engine that I bought, and it looks very daunting! just a mass of wires and bare ends.. The loom is from a sharan VR6. do you think this will cause any problems? So before I dive head first into this, any help people can give me with it? Like where to start first? like fuseboard or ecu first? Any help from people who have done anything like this first will be a massive help! And just to make sure, the ecu on a VR is placed inside the scuttle panel, left of the pollen filter isnt it? A pic of the l

  11. Although I have not done this myself, taking the subframe off may be helpful for hard to reach places let me know how it goes, and hopefully someone will advise more!
