  1. ah right you should be okay with them speakers, just make sure you make a good strong connection, no point doing the job twice if you are replacing the vw speaker as well you should be okay
  2. is the speaker standard from vw? just be wary if the speakers have just terminals you can put the wire into or if its like a plastic clip type job. does the cd player come with an adaptor, otherwis you might not want to cut up the standard vw harness... hope that helps
  3. Its quite easy mate with a bit of patience, hardest part is scraping knuckles on bits of plastic.. just take your time and you can do it
  4. Alright cheers for that mate. I'll give them a ring tomorrow about it. Do I need a part number to buy from VW? Cheers
  5. Hi guys, Im just looking for a few parts, on the brake pedal where the servo ball joint slots into the plastic joint on the pedal, does anyone know the part number / where i can get these from? I snapped mine trying to get the servo off. Also the little circlip that holds the clutch pedal on the rod on the pedal assembly, anyone know where I can get them? I can post pics up of what I mean if needed. Cheers guys, Dave

  8. im fairly certain the brown plug should go in the hole next to the blue plug in the pic. yours just has a bung put in it, as the a/c has been deleted. hope that helps
  9. Welcome mate, your not too far from me like the car, any plans?
  10. that box shaped thing, is it a cylinder shape? if it is your carbon canistor, the pipe goes onto your inlet manifold for fuel vapours to be injected. as for the other hoses im not too sure, turbos arent my specialty, hopefully someone else can guide you. hope that helps mate
  11. just stick one of them in your bot, you should have the edge over jap tuners not too sure about your mpg though..
  12. I was thinking of doing something similar to my jetta, but with a big V8 or something similar, cutting a hole, putting the engine in, and mate up the suspensiony stuff upto the rear of the car. the biggest fear I had was as the car was designed to be front wheel drive, that when you turn a car the chassis will just flop abou all over the place because now all the weight and torque is coming from the back. That's my two cents for what they are worth anyway
  13. It may or may not do, I am not too sure, ask for the code of the gearbox, and make sure yours is the right code, then it will work. or find a gearbox that is the right code?
  14. depends, i think on a straight 1/4 mile the mk2 might just have the edge, but as bungy says, on slippery or twisty roads the 4mo will pull ahead..
  15. i cant make this one im afraid
  16. cars before 1992 dont need cats to pass a MOT, as cats didnt come as standard back then. so yes you will need a cat for the test..
  17. yes but the rest of your car wont, gearboxes are mostly mechanical, they dont need ecus apart fron revs and things
  18. No one? and also, where can i get the grease thats used in the drive shaft cups / inner cv joints? Please? cheers
