  1. after youve sorted suspension, i would look into new air filter, cams and an exhaust, that will shave a few seconds off your lap times
  2. carb cleaner could work, but could be a bit aggressive as well, depending on how weak the maf is. I would try some IPA first, that will clean it up good.
  3. Looking pretty ridy there, gotta love a vento front end

  10. ok cheers Bungy, I'll have another crack tomorrow, to be honest trying to work out what the current setting is a bit of a faff, it goes in switches like 1 -2 then 3-4 and then theres a min - max switch, I'll start low tomorrow and have another practice, for now i'm too busy tending to my burns!
  11. alright guys, So today I invested in a mig welder, and got together some scrap metal to have a go with, one problem I found is that the welder was just spitting and spluttering everywher. seeing as I'm still new to welding, I assumed it was me that was doing it wrong. But I rang up a friend who does a bit of welding and he too has recently gone to a gasless mig welder and he has the same problem. any thoughts on anything we could be doing wrong? my welder is just a clarke 90 turbo, a cheap thing i got second hand. Any help would be great, thanks
  12. great read! just wondering, those boost pipes all metal throughout? I always thought you should have a bit of silicone hoses to allow flex when the engine moves e.t.c.
  13. As funny as it is, I would be wary that if a particular evil sod pulled you in, he might try to do you for imitating police e.t.c. in other words, don't drop the soap!
  14. yeah just whip it on and tighten the nut, job done
