  5. will switch it around.... thanks for the feedback. also i got this answer on another forum: "Vr6 will commonly jump teeth on startup becuase no pressure on the tensioner. Many many guys have bent valve on The first crank. You either have to get the pressure up by spinning the oil pump beforehand or by holding the tensioner tight with a screwdriver then crank till the oil light goes out and then Putting the tappet cover and manifold on." any truth to it?
  6. Anyone have a bellhousing swop diy for me? is it easy to complete? i had a 2L16valve gear ratio change that was done by a CHOP and lasted all of two days, but for those two days i LOVED the feel it gave! i would like to do it myself this time so that i know noone can mess me around!
  7. i very much agree on the bushes, first replace the bushes and then consider reducing your throw aka short shifter.
  8. the story: redid the motor, new bearings, mains, rings, cleaned off carbon from head, replaced 2nd hand block, original block had very bad piston slap cause by gungeon pins. swing but nothing there is fuel there is spark car swings freely like no compression, but cranked the motor for compression before fitting plug leads etc.. crank sensor connected and speed sensor connected. something im overlooking? plugs are dry, no oil or fuel.. anyway to check comp without removing the head or diy with minimal tools? thanks.
  9. no issues will get a few more fella's to sign up.
  10. i have a few mates around my parts that are all interested in having the inside vr6 OC stickers on there cars, one suggested i just have them made locally but i dont believe in doing things like that. is there someone that can PM me for 20 vr6oc inside window stickers please. thanks
  11. I need to know a few things: the aux water pump, what is the purpose of it? how do you know it is operating correctly? If it stops working what is the resulting factors? to my knowledge the aux water pump pushes water around when the car is switched off so the water can circulate and the fans can cool it. since i got some vr6 people in here, my blower decided not to blow on the demister setting ( the one where your front window fogs up, put on the blower and clears up) where do i start looking? first time something like this happened... also after a thrashing last night this morning saw some o
  12. need to have the windscreen refitted... best to do it right the first time

  14. fuel filter should not be the issue, which replay are you using for the fuel pump?
  15. different? will they be interchangable? reason im asking is i want to remove my old spec one to send away for polishing but still need the car to be mobile, but i have the late spec plastic one i will fit in the meantime, so which replacement one should i get?
  16. you should have the FCM, it regulates the speed of the fans on the mk3 and raddo, not sure if you transplanted it over. im clueless mate, but recheck everything and hopefully it will come to you...
